Bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when scared half to. —Omar N. Bradley
a/n this chapter is continuing from the last!
"HELLO AMELIA."
Amelia felt as if her heart had stopped as she listened to the voice of the man in the car.
She went to turn around before his voice stopped her. "Don't turn around. Start the car." She paused in her breath.
She recognized that voice.
"My son is next to you. I'll do what you want just don't hurt him."
"Start the car Amelia. Now!" He ordered before he let a deep breath out. "I'm sorry I'm not angry at you I just really need you to listen to me."
Amelia nodded her head starting the car.
"You're going to drive wherever I tell you to. No questions asked."
Jack began to get fussy as he noticed the tension in the car.
Amelia went to turn her head as the man stopped her.
"Don't look back here. Just turn on the AC he's getting hot." The man ordered.
Amelia then realized who exactly it was. Her stalker. He had followed them all the way to their safe house.
"Turn here." Jack had calmed down as he eventually dozed off as the car moved. The man knew she couldn't make any sudden turns or movements because it could harm Jack.
She stayed silent knowing it was best to comply with the man if she wanted to make it out alive. One of the things she had learned from her husband.
"What's the matter Amelia? You don't want to talk to me? Is small talk not your thing anymore?"
Small talk was never her thing. Unless she wanted to stop awkward conversation. She then thought of everyone she had ever had an awkward conversation or encounter with.
"You told me to not ask any questions." He chuckled slightly.
"I did, didn't I?" Amelia took another glance in the mirror the man's face was covered but she could see his eyes. Feeling like she had recognized them before.
