"Sometimes, all you can do is lie in bed, and hope to fall asleep before you fall apart." — William C. Hannan
AMELIA SAT AS SHE GOT READY.
Aaron said he had wanted to take her out. Though she was very hesitant about it she accepted. She couldn't remember the last time she went on a date with him.
It had been two weeks since her first meeting with the new family therapist. Jack was growing quickly. Cuter every day Amelia never failed to mention.
Jack was lied down in his crib as he took a nap. Amelia had been officially diagnosed with postpartum depression but it had been getting better with the medication and the support of her family.
She was trying and that was all that mattered.
A knock sounded at the door causing Amelia to pull out of her thoughts looking to Aaron who stood in the doorway.
"Yes?" She asked confused.
"Sorry I was calling you, are you okay?" Aaron spoke as he stepped into the bedroom.
"Yes, sorry I'm fine. I didn't hear you calling me. I was just thinking."
"Are you ready?" He asked moving to step behind her.
"Yeah I am."
"Amelia." Aaron placed a hand on her shoulder. "We don't have to go out okay? Not until you fe-"
Amelia leaned up interrupting him as she stood up turning to face him, before placing a kiss to his lips. Aaron responded as he placed his hands on her waist pulling her in for a deeper kiss.
Amelia pulled away smiling. "What was that for?" Aaron whispered down to her. "I'm okay Aaron." She responded.
Aaron looked down at her confused before she elaborated.
"I promise you I'm okay, I know this is weird." She sighed before continuing. "Me being diagnosed with a form of depression but I promise it doesn't mean that I'm always depressed, at least I think it doesn't." Aaron looked confused and awkward as she continued.
"I know I'm confusing myself as well." Amelia paused sighing placing her hands to Aarons chest. "But what I'm saying is, I'm okay, and you don't need to keep asking me if I am. I know you're just looking out for me, for our family. But I'm doing my best to get better for us, for our family. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm being harsh or if I'm-"
