classes were now in full swing, so were practices, and so was football season. classes hasn't been too bad. obviously they're challenging and homework is usually handed out in mounds, but most of my professors are pretty relaxed which i am beyond grateful for.
practices have been fun, they're definitely different from high school cheer, making me wish they'd prepared us a little more for this level of intensity. even though we aren't considered athletes, we still follow a strict practice and gym schedule. having early morning practices, 2 hours at the gym, and evening practices as well.
we had cheered at our first football game last weekend. with that came seeing leo not only in class but now on the field and everywhere else too. we'd been talking a lot and getting together to study for class. it was nice, he is from oklahoma so he's offered to take me around the area and show me some of his favourite spots. what tate said about her team and him still lingers in the back of my mind but i usually choose to ignore it. i don't know any of the girls and don't know leo much either.

i had just finished our last evening practice before tomorrow nights football game when i feel my phone vibrating. as i reach for it i see my older brother, trevor calling.
"hey trev" i breath out in exhaustion from the 3 hour practice i am leaving from
"hey ellie bear how is oklahoma?" he questions
"it's good" i respond with the blandest answer
"what's wrong el?" i can practically here his tone change
"nothings wrong trevor, i'm just exhausted from practice. they killed us today and i am starving"
"you have been eating though right elodie?" he questions again. knowing i've had a very long history with poor eating habits. sometimes it's not even on purpose i just genuinely forgot to eat. i always have something going on
"yes i have. tate is always texting reminding me to eat" i roll my eyes though he can't see them.
"okay good, don't make me start making you send me pictures of your food again" i frown hearing him say that. it's not something i'm proud of or like to remember
"i'm fine trevor i promise, college is just kicking my ass. how's anaheim?" changing the direction of the conversation. i don't love talking about eating. it's a conversation i am always avoiding
"it's great. seasons been good so far. you know we have got to get you out her soon. you'd love anaheim. plus me and jamie have an extra room."
"that would be so fun trev, i'll have to see when i have a break soon and come out. i seriously can not wait for thanksgiving. i'm already dying to get out of here"
"i'm sure you are. i'll let you go so you can go rest. i'll text you in the morning sis love you"
