Chapter 26

Tori's P.O.V

"I can't have you getting in the way of me and Dani, so I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to kill you."

Austin is up in seconds, and is running towards me.

"Let go of her!" He shouts, baring his fangs. Harry laughs. Then bares his fangs too. So I guess this is a vampire fight and I can go now.....?

I start to run, and I don't look back, I just keep running. All the while, crying my heart out, because of the fact that Dani let Harry come after me. Why had I even thought of going through this, before hand? Why had I even gone through training to be a guardian in the first place? I sucked at it.

All of a sudden, I'm tackled to the ground.

"Thought you could get away? Hm, I think not." He leans towards my neck, and I kick him in the balls. He screams, and I take my chance. I don't even look for Austin, I just start running.

But he catches up, and again, I'm tackled.

"Dani will hate you for doing this!" I yell. He just chuckles.

"Dani won't know." He says, and I gawk at him. Dani doesn't know Harry is trying to kill me? Gosh, if only Dani had listened to me!

"Please, you can't do this!" I say, hoping I had hit a soft spot. But wait- that's right. HARRY DIDN'T HAVE ONE.

"You know, you shouldn't talk bad about me in your head, when I can read minds and am about to kill you." He says, and I mentally slap my forehead. I forgot about that.

"Harry, what if Dani ever found out? She would hate you forever!" I say. He rolls his eyes.

"Stop trying to save yourself, because it's not working. I told you, Dani won't find out. Because I'm gonna say that Maddie killed you." I gasped. Oh my gosh, he did not just say that!

"Dani knows Maddie, and she knows that Maddie would never do something like that." I say, trying to think of more things to say.

"Well, people change. Take Dani for instance." He smirks, and his fangs grow bigger. My heart stops. This is it. This is really it. I'm going to die. I didn't even live to 20.

"Harry please listen to me. You can't do this!" I try, but it's no use.

But just then, in a blink of an eye, Harry is gone.

What? I thought. How is that possible??!!

I quickly get up, and dust myself off. And then a gust of wind blows by. Austin.

"Where were you!" I grumble. "I was about to get eaten!"

"Sorry!" He says. "He compelled me to stay where I was. I hated it." I sigh.

"Do you know where he went? He just dissapeared!" I say, still shocked from what happened.

"No. I couldn't even move." He replies.

"Aw that sucks." I say back, and cautiously look around, in case Harry popped out of no where.

Then I thought of something.

"We have to go warn Dani!" I blurt out. "Harry was gonna kill me! He is to clingy and creepy. We have to save her. But...."

"Dani doesn't wanna come with us. She doesn't believe us. She wants to be with Harry and the others." Austin says.

"Plus Maddie is still missing." I say, miserably. There is just too much going on in my life right now. I need a break.

"Yeah...." Austin trails off.
