Chapter 19

Maddie's P.O.V

I gasp. Dani! The scream rang through the air again. My heart beat quickens. My head shot in all directions, my eyes scanning the forest.

Nothing.

"Dani?!" I call. No answer. My head spins faster, as I call again, this time louder. "DANI?!" But still no answer. So I call a third time, this time screaming her name at the top of my lungs, "DANI?????!!!!" Still. No. Answer.

I go insane.

I tore through the forest screaming like a complete physco, knowing I was getting nowhere.

"DANI???!!!! TORI????!!!! DANI!!!!!!!" But no matter how hard I scream, I still get no answer. Not even from Tori. Another loud scream. This one sounds the same, but closer. Still Dani. I panick.

Gosh, I wish I never fought with her!!! I thought, guiltily, as I ran. It wasn't a big argument, but it was good enough. I mean, Dani was like avoiding me, don't you think?

But anyway, that didn't matter now. Nothing did. Nothing, except finding Dani. But as I ran, the sky starts to grow darker, until soon, there is no sunlight at all. A boom of thunder echos through the air. I groan. Not another thunderstorm!

Lightening flashes, and heavy rain starts to pour down. I start to
get drenched. I groan again. I pause to catch my breath.

"REALLY???!!!!" I shout at the sky. Ok, now I'm going insane. I start to run again, this time picking up my pace. Soon, I come to a dead end. Although, it's not really a dead end, it's more like a jagged cliff, with rushing water below. I let out an angry grunt, and stomp my foot on the ground. But it splashes into a puddle, sending mud up my leg. I groan. I sink down onto the muddy forest floor, with misery, not even caring anymore.

Another scream. Louder. Closer.

I jump to my feet. The scream. It came from.....

off the cliff.

I run to the edge, not thinking straight. Another loud scream. This one sounded painful. Another scream echoes through the woods, this time, my own.

Then, without thinking, I step a few feet back, and run up to the edge of the cliff with full speed, and plunge myself off the cliff, and into the air.

Dani's P.O.V (A.N. YAY!!!)

My eyes droop from staring at the window for so long. And without even seeming to notice it, a thunderstorm starts up again. I barrie my face in the pillow. I feel his cold hand on my shoulder, gosh, why did he try? Can't he see I am upset right now, and am in no mood to talk to him?

"Dani please." He beggs quietly. I ignore him. Rain splatters the window, and runs down, like tears. Like my tears.

Lightning flahses, and thunder booms. Yes, I'm scared, but does that even matter now? Apparently my opinion will never matter. My opinion is not important. Because if it is, I wouldn't be here right now.

"Dani." Harry tries again. I'm curious at how far he'll go to get my attention. I feel his strong, ice cold arms wrap around me, in seconds. I gasp. His face finds my neck, and his lips gently press against my neck.

Then my throat.

I gasp, and push away, jumping up from the bed, and running over to the window, in fear. He shoots up, to a sitting position.

"Dani? Are you ok?" In seconds he's in front of me, and I back away. Tears stream down my face, as I realize his eyes are a copper red. "Dani?" He repeats. I shake my head.

"Get. Away. From. Me!" I push him away, and run to the window. I flick the latch, and the window opens. I could have used the balcony, but I'm not that smart. So, instead, I swing my legs, and jump out. Luckily, there's roof under the sill, and I land on it with two feet.

The wind ruffles my hair. I know I don't have much time. Harry comes up behind me, screaming for me to stop, amd reaching for me. I swat him away, and then kick him in the shin. His face, looked hurt, sad, and very upset. But I faced myself back to the long jump it would take, for me to reach safe ground.

Rain pours down, soaking me, and lightning flashes. Another loud crack of thunder echoes through the grey skies. And, before Harry could get me, I jump into the cold air, feeling a rush of adrenaline. I squeeze me eyes shut. I'm not gonna make it. I'm just not.

Feeling the rush of air as I faced my death, Harry's face popped into my mind, full of saddness, and hurt.

Dani Golding. You have no idea what you've just done.......

Tori's P.O.V

"So......." I say, trying to figure out why he wants to talk to me alone.

"So........." He says back. Awkward silence fills the air.

"Ok, look. What do you want?" I say, then quickly close my mouth. I may have some magic, but still. He is more powerful than me.

"I want to apologize." I waited patiently. But then blurt out,

"Well?" I clamp a hand over my mouth. He just smiles that cute, charming smile of his. Yes. I am in love with him. Is this really new to you?

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have kept such a big secret from you." I cross my arms and roll my eyes, looking away.

"Yeah, well, you did, so." He takes my hands in his, intertwining our fingers. I felt a spark, from somewhere deep inside of me.

"No, I'm serious. I really am sorry." I sigh.

"I know. And you're lucky I didn't turn you into a frog." I say. He smiles, a small smile.

"I would have let you."

"I know you would have."

"So are we good?"

"Yeah. I guess so." He tilts my chin up, and I look into his sparkling blue eyes.

"Good." Then he leans down, and kisses me.

Until a loud scream pierces through the air.
