Chapter 15

Dani's P.O.V

"Now that you know my secret, you can't go home. You have to live with me now."

It took me a few seconds to process this, and once I did, I pushed away from him, got up as quickly as I could, and started to run as fast as I possibly could. I knew I couldn't outrun him, but I had to try. There was no way, that I was living with him!

"Dani!!" I could hear him calling my name. It didn't sound far. That was my que to keep running. Faster Dani, faster!!! But my legs ached so much, and my body felt so weak, that I just couldn't move any longer. I found a torn down shack, and dove inside of it, collapsing on the cold, hard, ground. (A.N. Now she's lying on the cold hard ground! Que Taylor Swift xD lol I don't even like her:D)

Maddie's P.O.V

I roam around a bit more, and then decide I should probably head home. It was getting late, and I was getting tired, and Dave and Mom would be worried about me. Besides, I couldn't find her. I probably didn't even go in the right direction. Well, there was nothing I could do about it now.

I shiver, and turn around, trying to retrace my steps. But just then, I heard a loud, piercing, scream, coming from nearby. I panicked. What if it was Dani? Or, what if something bad is happening right now, and Dani is out all alone? Well, me too, but still!! She could be closer to the scream than I am!! I needed to find Dani!!

I turn around and head deeper aling the path I had chose. The moon was hidden behind the trees, and I couldn't see a thing. It was too dark. Another scream rang through the night. My heart starts beating really fast. I start to run, looking everywhere I could, hoping to find her. I wanted to scream her name, but I didn't wanna give myself away.

A cold breeze blew by, and I realized that a storm must be coming soon, because the wind was picking up. I really needed to get home. Like now. I sigh, feeling tears well up in my eyes. Well, at least I tried. I just felt so bad, that we had had that sort-of argument. Now I was really upset. And guilty. You know, even though Dani was acting all different and strange and all. She was still my best friend. And now I don't even know where she is.

Another scream. I start to rush home, turning around, and heading back where I came from. Maybe if it wasn't so feaking dark, that task would be easier. But it was. So naturally, I was tripping, slipping, amd stumbling, along the path.

As I got farther up, I saw a blur. A cold breeze blew by, and in seconds, a boy was standing in front of me. A beautiful  boy. With brown curls, green eyes, and pale skin. He looked.......perfect.

"Have you seen a teenage girl about 17, with brown hair and pajamas on, anywhere?" He asks in the most beautifullest british accent I have ever heard.

"Uh.....um.....n-no." I stammer. And then it hit me. A teenage girl about 17, brown hair, pajamas on......wait a minute!  That's describing Dani!! Dani is 17, she has brown hair, and she was in her pajamas. Who is this beautiful boy and how does he know Dani?!

"Oh." His face falls. And then his eyes change to a grey color. My jaw drops.

"Y-Your e-eyes." I stammer. "They changed colors!!" He takes a step foward, and I try to take a step back, but I can't move. I was frozen. He reaches out, touches my hand, and then starts to walk away. My body suddenly felt numb, and the touch of his ice cold hand. And then, the world started to fade. Everything felt numb. Cold. Far away. And then, I collapsed on the ground, everything turning black.

Dani's P.O.V

My heart is pounding a mile a minute. I couldn't think, just run. I knew I only had a matter of time, before he would catch up to me. And then I felt a cold breeze. I start to cry, knowing what that meant. He found me.
