Chapter 27

Dani's P.O.V

I don't remember the rest of the movie. I'm not sure if I fell asleep, or fainted, or maybe I just don't remember. But that doesn't matter anyway.

What matters, is that Harry won't tell me where he was. He said he has to keep it from me for a reason. So that things will stay ok. Whatever that meant. I want to know though. Just like he wants to know what's up with you.

So I had made a deal with him.

And now here I am, waiting for him to finish changing. It's nightime, and I'm lying on his bed. He comes out, and I sit up.

"Ok, you first." He says nervously. I don't know why, but this bothered me as much as it probably bothers him.

"Ok....but you have to promise not to think I'm crazy." I say, and Harry looks confused.

"Alright then. I promise. No go ahead." I take a deep breath, and tell him the whole story. About the voice in my head, and how it was Tori. How Tori wanted to "save" me, and how when the boys were dealing with the police, a diferent voice came in, one that was more scary, and left me terrified. He listens through the whole thing, and when I'm done, he doesn't run away, or look worried.

"Hmph." He says, looking thoughtful. "That's definitely strange."

"I'll say." I mutter.

"Well, all I can say, is that stay near us, and ignore the voice, no matter what. Even if it says a threat, or something. We'll protect you. So don't worry about it." He smiles, but he looks nervous.

"What's wrong?" I ask him.

"Well....I'm just...uh...nervous...to tell you mine." He says, running his hand through his curls. "Don't be mad, please, ok?" I gulp.

"Ok...but I can't promise you anything...." I trail off. He sighs.

"Um...ok...well...you know...uh...what's her name? Tori! Yeah....um...so...I kinda got mad...you know cause.....she tried getting in the way of our....uh....relationship, can we call it? Well....so anyway, I um...I uh....I tried...well almost...um..."

"Just spit it out!" I say, annoyed.

"I tried to kill her!" He blurts out.

"WHAT???!!!!" I scream.

"I'm sorry! I got over protective! I just can't stand her, and I thought if I got rid of her then things would be better. I mean, she keeps tellig lies about me, to you." Yeah, she's trying to warn me, I thought. "Please don't be mad!"

And he was gonna say that Maddie did it! Try to forgive him for THAT too!

Tori? Hello?

"I can't believe you Harry." I say. He looks down, sadly. Yeah, that doesn't always work on me. Uh uh. He freaking tried to kill my best friend! Then, tried to blame it on my other best friend, so I wouldn't find out?! What the **** is wrong with him!

"I'm sorry! Come on, can't you forgive me?"

"No." I get up amd leave the room.

"Hey, where do you think you're going?" He calls after me. I walk over to Louis' room, and say,

"Louis, can you take me to the library please?"

"Of course, babe. Just put this on." He hands me a Hollister sweatshirt. "Put the hoodie on, too. We don't need anyone recognizing you." I roll my eyes, but do it anyway.

"Yeah whatever. Thanks." He smiles, takes my hand, and then we head down the stairs, and towards the door. I can pratically hear Harry seething from upstairs. As we walk, Louis speaks up.
