Chapter 4

Dani's P.O.V

My heart was pounding as I ran in the woods. I had no idea where I was going, but I needed to get away from him.

My head was spinning, and as I ran past trees and bushes, and I got tons of scratches. I was bleeding all over. Which, made it harder for me to run.

Not like I could out run him, anyways. He was fast. I was panting, and wishing that I could take a break, but knew that I would be st***d to even consider. I took a deep breath as I ran, but then tripped over a branch.

That was when I knew it was over.

Soon, he would catch up, and then he would kill me. He would hurt me. In some kind of way. Tears streamed down my face, as I faced my fate.

He was right in front of me.

I screamed, and he leaned down and clamped his hand over my mouth. I shivered at his touch, and struggled to get free from his sttrong grip. He pinned me down, and smirked, knowing I couldn't break free.

"Don't try, Dani. It's no use. I'll always find you. Anytime you try to run away, I'll always be waiting for you, at wherever you're headed. Dani, I'll always be here. You can't hide from me. I won't mention the reason now, but I'll always be around you for.......

eternity."

I sat up in bed so fast, that my head started to spin, and I felt a rush of adrenaline. I was panting, and it took me a minute ro realize, that only was I in my room and not the woods, but that I was also alone. And it was 5:34.

I throw myslef back, and pull the covers up to my chin. Worst nigtmare EVER. I turned over on my side away from the window. I closed my eyes, but couldn't fall asleep. I guess that was a good thing. I didn't wanna have another nightmare about Harry. Just thinking about the nightmare gave me the chills.

I knew though, that I needed some sleep for tomorrow, cause I had work. I needed to NOT fall alseep on my first day of work. Although, I could always have one of the criminals in the corner of my jail sell take over for me. Right? Or maybe one of the bats on the ceiling. That could work too.

But anyway, I needed sleep no matter WHAT. So, shutting my eyes again, I slowly began to drift to sleep. All thoughts and words leaving my head.

Except one.

"Hey rockstar! It's show time! Better get up or you're gonna be late for your first day!" I groaned as light hit my eyelids. I slowly opened my eyes, and sat up. There dad was, opening my blinds. I sighed. He was right though. If I didn't get up, I was gonna be late. And trust me, my one time there was already bad enough.

I get up, and my dad leaves my room. I get dressed, make my bed, brush my hair, grab my desk supply bags, and go down stairs. I set the bags down near the door, and walk into the kitchen. Maddie hands me a cup of coffee, and I thank her. I take the steaming mug to the table, and sit down. I sit down, and take a sip of the warm beverage.

"So......are you excited for your first day of work?" Maddie asks me eagerly, taking a seat across from me, and taking a sip from her coffee.

"What, you mean excited to get abducted by aliens that that are hiding in my dungeon? To be honest, not so much." I say, taking another sip of the hot coffee. Maddie rolls her eyes.
