Aria stood beside Alex and Cristina all of them watching Izzie closely. "Stevens, can you hear me?
Look at me,stevens." Dr Webber called out as Izzie's eyes fluttered open.

Adam quickly rushed to his wife's side while the residents shared a look of relief for their friend. Meredith came in calling out for Dr Bailey before they all turned looking at her.

"You can't tell her." Adam said looking at the group of residents.

"Adam." Aria mumbled looking between her friends.

"She coded in my arms. Out of nowhere, she died.
Just...i'll tell her.I'll tell her when she gets stronger." He mumbled looking at Aria who nodded her head lightly as Izzie began calling out for her husband.

Aria turned looking at Meredith, Alex and Cristina. None of which had any idea of what to say to one another.

Aria stood beside Lexie as everyone began firing questions at Meredith. Meredith had told them that George was the John Doe who had been brought in. She believed this because he had scribbled 007 into her hand which was his nickname when they were interns.

Lexie however didn't believe that it was George claiming the figure was too tall and had no evidence of being her friend. Callie quickly responded claiming George had a birthmark that would tell them if it was him.

Callie headed into the room while the other stood silent. None of them dared to moved as they watched Callie closely. She checked over his hand before she broke down crying confirming it was indeed George.

The group stood frozen in their spots as their pages began ringing. Dr Webber looked at all his staff who stood frozen at the loss of their friend and colleague. "You people, answer your pages.
George o'malley jumped in front of a bus today.
He knew what he was doing, and he did it anyway,And he did it to save a life.So I'm not gonna allow you doctors to stand here. There are lives on the line. There are lives we can save.So if george o'malley can jump in front of a bus,We can answer our damn pages. So let's go." The chief called out.

Each doctor returned to their own duties hopefully finding some relief in the day. Something to ease a distraction from the grief they would face once the shock wore off. Hoping that this horrible day had some comfort in it.

Aria laid in one of the on call room bed as she laid staring at the wall with her back to the door. She felt the bed shift as Alex shifted laying beside her with his arms around his waist.

"Are you awake?" He mumbled with his head resting beside hers. He began running his fingers up and down her side. Aria found it comforting as she mumbled slightly.

"Yeah I don't think I'll be sleeping." Aria spoke softly turning to face Alex. He ran his fingers across her cheek before she closed her eyes finding comfort in his touch.

"Do you want to eat?" Alex asked as Aria shook her head opening her eyes.

"Do you?" She asks before Alex shook his head in response. Alex moved onto his back as he pulled Aria onto his chest. "I love you." Aria mumbled quietly as Alex smiled slightly.

"And I love you." He whispered softly before two laid in silence. They found comfort in one another embrace. Neither one of them sure what the next few days were going to hold but they knew as long as they had each other they could face anything.

Aria stood beside Meredith listening as they stood beside George's grave. Izzie quickly walked off causing Aria, Meredith and Adam to exchange a look of concern for their friend.

The group of residents followed Izzie as Alex and Cristina sat beside her while Meredith and Aria stood beside them. "I'm sorry." Izzie said before she burst out laughing.

"You're laughing?" Meredith said looking at her with a glimmer of a smirk.

"She's laughing." Alex said shaking his head at Izzie while holding back his own laughter.

"George-George is dead. He's dead. They're about to put him in the ground, and the priest is doing classic rock lyrics. And that girl, that redhead is crying harder than his mother, and she never even met him. It's just..." Izzie chuckled along to them all.

"You are far more twisted than i ever realized." Cristina says softly causing the twins to chuckle slightly.

"And you got married on a post-It." Izzie says to Meredith as they all began laughing.

"I got married on a post-It. I did. I did." Meredith repeated full of laughter.

"You know, you got married for real?" Cristina reminded Izzie.

"I know! And I got cancer. What?" Izzie said sarcastically as the group of residents gathered around laughing with each other.

"Dude,o-O'malley got hit by a bus." Alex said as once again they all burst out laughing as all the guest walked past. The looked at the group of residents with concern but continued to walk off. The group continued to sit there in support of one another.

Alex and Aria walked in to the house followed by Adam and Izzie. Alex quickly covered his eyes as Aria looked in disgust are her sister and Derek doing it on the stairs.

"Seriously!! The stairs?!" Aria snapped quickly turning away from the sight.

"Dude, get a room." Alex called out covering his own eyes before Izzie burst out laughing with Adam turning around.

"Leave us alone. We're newlyweds!" Meredith called out to the group as she hurried upstairs.

"A post-It wedding does not make you newlyweds." Izzie called out to the couple as Aria turned back around.

"I'm going to stay in an on call room. I need to sterilise my eyes." Aria called out dramatically with Alex agreeing following behind her.

Aria sat up in bed pulling the covers over her chest. Alex laid opposite her before stealing a piece of the pizza they had ordered. "Isn't it cold?" Aria chuckled at her boyfriend.

"I like cold pizza and it was worth it to be cold." Alex winked causing the girls cheeks to turn a deep shade of red as he indicated to their previous activities.

Aria chuckled at him. "You've only got yourself to blame Dr Karev." She smiled softly taking a slice of the pizza.

"I didn't hear you complaining Dr Grey." He smirked while Aria shook her head laughing at his antics. Despite everything that was happening Alex still managed to make her forget the entire world even just for a moment.

When she was with him it felt like that for a moment the world didn't exist and it was just the two of them. That nothing bad could ever happen when they were together. But they both knew that was far from the truth but who knew what their future held? They just hoped no matter what they faced they would face it together.
