"Any one of you know what this big meeting's all about?" Avery asks following behind Aria, Alex and Lexie.
"I heard there was a coup." Reed says looking at Lexie while Aria rolls her eyes at the girl.
"Webber's out. Shepherd's in. Is that true?" Charles asks while Aria stops turning towards the three mercy west residents.
"We know what you know." Aria snapped having enough of all the gossip and speculation.
"Bull. All right? Your sister's married to the guy.
You expect me to bve you don't know what's going on?" Jackson says watching Aria as Alex grabs for her hand pulling her back beside him.
"Don't you have your own loser friends to talk to?" Alex snarked at them pulling his girlfriend beside him as they continued down the hall.
"I also heard Shepherd plans to clean house. Maybe he'll start with you." Charles whips looking at Alex with an expression of disbelief.
"Dude, I'm safe. The guy is my roommate.You're the ones who should watch your backs." Alex warned them earning a jab from Aria as the three started again.
"Why? What do you know?" Reed questioned him while Aria looked at Alex with a pissed off expression walking ahead of the group.
"Simple math-Shepherd hates the merger, You're from mercy west, you're toast." Alex tries to explain before Lexie cuts him off.
"Derek's not gonna fire peopleJust because they're from mercy west.He's not like that. He's loyal and fair." Lexie tried to reason with them and stick up for her brother in law.
"Yeah, tell that to webber." Avery quipped while Aria turned on her feet causing them all to stop at her sudden change.
"You don't know anything any of you so stop with all the speculation it's boring." Aria snapped walking away while Lexie exchanged a look with Alex.
"What did you do?" She mumbled knowing Aria only was ever in a mood if someone else had pissed her off.
"What makes you think I did something?It wasn't me." Alex defended following after his girlfriend while the other four trailed behind.

"Karev, I hear that you're the future of peds. " Arizona smiles brightly walking up to the residents while Aria looks at her.
"Well that doesn't hurt." Aria replied sarcastically while Arizona smiled at her.
"You have a gift Dr Grey you just need to see that yourself and you were already on Sloan's service." Arizona told Aria who smirked slightly at her boyfriend who rolled his eyes slightly.
"Excuse me?" Alex said looking at Robbins with a slight expression of surprise.
"Yeah, a little birdie named Bailey whispered it in my ear.I want you to work with me today so I can see if she's right." Arizona smiled at him while Alex rolled his eyes.
"What did she say?" He grunted slightly.
"That you're the best babysitter in the hospital." Avery tried to tease before Aria shot a glare at him.
"Shut up." Alex snarled looking at Avery who smirked slightly.
"You don't think peds is hard-core? cause you could say that to my face, avery.Mm-hmm. Don't let the roller skates fool you.Peds is nothing but hard-core. Rounds in ten." Arizona says before practically skipping off while Alex let out a small groan.
"Peds.Who's the sucker now?" Avery quipped while Aria snapped her head towards him.
"Aren't you Altman back up bitch today? You know since Yang is clearly the cardio prodigy if I were I'd be looking for some scrap of Altman's attention." Aria sassed while Jackson looked at her slightly take back while Alex grinned at her while she walked off.
"She's scary." Alex nodded looking at Jackson before heading off to find Robbins.

Aria was leaning against the nurses station as Lexie walked towards her. "Is Mark around?" She mumbles looking at her older sister.
"No he's not been around all day." Aria grumbled slightly frustrated at her attending while she looked at her sister. "Did you want him for something?" Aria asked slightly confused knowing that Lexie had broken up with Mark.
Aria understood why her sister had ended the relationship. Mark had a daughter and grandchild on the way now. He was ready to settle down and focus on his responsibilities. However Lexie was still very young and that responsibility was not something she was ready for nor she envisioned that early in her life and career.
Despite Lexie being the one to end the relationship Mark had already slept with Addison excusing that he was hurting. Aria was trying to stay out of their situation but she could see how it was affecting Lexie. "No he's ignoring me. Do you know he slept with Addison?" Lexie told her sister which she already knew from her twin.
"Meredith had mentioned it. You want me to kick his ass because as your older sister I can do that." Aria smiled while Lexie chuckled slightly.
"No he was your friend way before he was my boyfriend I don't want this break up messing with your friendship with him." Lexie stated while Aria smiles at her little sister.
"I will refrain from a violence then but I'll continue my verbal violence until I see fit. He might be my friend but doesn't mean I have to agree with all his actions. But I think you did what's right for you." Aria smiled softly watching her little sister.
"If it's the right thing then why does it hurt me?" Lexie asks while Aria looked up with her eye softening as she looked at her.
"Love can be the greatest gift but the messiest and cruelest consequence. Everything will be just how it needs to be. I need to go check on these patients I'll see you at home." Aria smiled softly before going to tends to her patients while Lexie headed back to her attending.

Aria had finished with her last check on the patients while Mark stood at the nurses station while she headed past him. "Are you ignoring me now?" Mark asked turning to his resident while Aria sighed looking at him.
"You're the one who hasn't been around on your own service today. You're so busy being mad at Lexie that you can't even see any reason but your own." Aria mumbled looking at her friend who scoffed at her.
"Lexie broke up with me. I wanted to step up and support my daughter and grandad child. I wanted to take that step with her and she broke up with me because of that." Mark snapped while Aria grew slightly frustrated.
"If that's truly how you view it how well did you know her. You found yourself this life a life you want Mark. Did you ask Lexie what she wanted? You told her what you wanted and you expected her to there right by your side. Lexie is an intern with her entire career to focus on that's what she wants. She's not ready for what you expect from her. That's why she broke up with you. I'm not choosing a side because you were my friend before your relationship. But she is still my sister and I will be there for her." Aria state with a slight glare while she looked at him.
One thing about Aria Grey was she was absolutely scary when she became protective of the people she loved. Mark would always be one of her best friends but he needed to realise Lexie wasn't a villain and he wasn't a victim. They just had different ideas for their lives at the moment and maybe one day they would be happy with or without each other.
