heeseung's heart ached with the realization that he may never have the chance to give the rings he bought for jake yesterday to him now.

"i'm sorry, heeseung hyung," jungwon said softly, his voice filled with sympathy. "we'll find a way to fix this."

heeseung nods with his heart shattered into a million pieces. "i will fix this.." he whispered as he runs where jake ran earlier.

...

outside, jake ran blindly through the streets, his heart torn between the pain of betrayal and the fear of facing his mother's words. but deep down, he knew that no matter how far he ran, he couldn't escape the pain that haunted him.

and so, with each step he took, jake carried with him the weight of his shattered trust and the ache of a heart torn apart by the ones he loved most.

as jake suddenly found himself standing at the edge of the pier, the salty sea breeze tousling his hair, he felt a heavy weight in his chest.

he had made up his mind to leave Jeju and return to Seoul, to put distance between himself and the pain he felt.

but then suddenly, he felt a presence behind him, and he turned to see heeseung standing there, his expression a mix of determination and concern.

"jake," heeseung said softly, stepping closer to him. "please, don't go."

jake's heart clenched and steps back a bit, and he remained silent, unsure of what to say.

heeseung took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before continuing. "i know things are difficult right now, but running away won't solve anything. you can't keep running from your problems, jake. sometimes, you have to face them."

jake's eyes flickered with uncertainty as he listened to heeseung's words. he wanted to believe that heeseung was right, that he could find a way to confront his pain and move forward. but the fear of facing his mother's rejection and his own shattered trust held him back.

"i-i can't do it, hyung.." jake whispered, his voice barely audible above the sound of the crashing waves. "i can't f-face her again."

heeseung stepped closer, his hand reaching out to gently grasp jake's shoulder. "you don't have to face her alone, jake. im here for you.."

jake's eyes was full with tears as he looked into heeseung's earnest gaze. in that moment, he felt a glimmer of hope inside his broken heart.

"please, jake," heeseung pleaded, his voice filled with emotion. "stay with us. we need you here.."

with a heavy heart and tears streaming down his face, jake nodded silently, his resolve wavering in the face of heeseung's unwavering support.

heeseung opens his arms widely, ready to embrace jake in a warm, comforting hug. jake cried so much it wet heeseung's clothes. "thanks jake.." heeseung whispers as he hugs and ruffles the shorter's hair.

and as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the waters of the sea, jake made a silent promise to himself.

to confront his pain, to fix what was broken, and to find a way forward, with the love and support of his friends by his side.

but before jake could say anything else, heeseung took a deep breath, steeling himself for what he was about to say.
