Hello! I noticed that this ship doesn't have much fanfics on Wattpad so i decited to write one.

*******

Thranduil was staring out of one of his throne rooms windows.

"My King? A guest has arrived for you." One of thranduils elf guards informed

"A guest?"

"Yes. Bard, king of Dale"

"So he finally came after i send him an invitation for discussing our trading opportunity's?"

"So it would seem my king"

"Bring him here." Thranduil said

"Yes my king" The guard bowed and hurried.

Thranduil went to his throne and sat down waiting.

Soon the doors opened and Bard walked in with one of the elf guards.

"So you were really kept as the king." Thranduil started

"Yes, I was. I have also answered to your invitation about trading between Mirkwood and Dale." Bard told him as respectfully as possible. See it wasn't like the king of Mirwood would invite just anyone in his home.

"So it would seem." Thranduil's eyes saw a sword and a bow with the former fisherman. "Take away his weapons. I will not have an armed man in my home." He ordered

The guard immediately went to Bard and took his sword and arrows with ease but he wouldn't give up his bow.

"You can take my sword your majesty, you can also take my arrows but i shall not give you my bow. I can not harm anyone without the arrows so i would like to keep it."

"How dare you talk back." Thranduil was not happy at what Bard had said.

"I am also a king, yes i am more weaker and my kingdom doesn't have as much but i am still a king who fought alongside with his people so that we could win. This bow is the one i used in a battle, it also is the only thing i have that was made by my late wife so i will not give it up. I can not trust you to keep it safe" Bard straightened his back and now looked quite tall.

Thranduil smirked, to Bard it seemed like the former cold king had left when he fought in the war. "I see, i have seen a hobbit be selfish, i have also seen dwarfs, men and even elves be selfish. But somehow i just never saw you the type to be selfish especially about something like a bow."

Thranduil got up from his seat and walked towards Bard. He stopped when he was right in front of Bard "Guard take the king of dale to his room and make sure he has everything he needs. I will see you later so we can discuss the trading between our kingdoms."

And with that the elf guard took Bard to his rooms. He had heard from a few dwarfs how they had to sleep in the sells and had feared for a second same would happen to him. Luckily when he walked in to his room it looked really nice. It had a great amount of light coming through the windows and the bed looked really comfortable.

Bard turned around to thank the guard but they had already left. He saw that the bags he had brought with him were on the floor in a neat pile. He walked to the window and looked down from it. He was pretty high but there was a tree that he could use to get down and back up.

Bard heard someone speaking behind him. "If i were you I wouldn't go on any adventures while you are here."  It was Legolas the son of Thranduil.

"What?" Bard asked like he was innocent

"I recommend you stay here for the entire time you are visiting" He said

"Why is that?" Bard asked

"Because my father doesn't trust newcomers, and he especially doesn't trust men. It is already a lot from him if he invited you here to discuss trading."

Bard nodded. "I see, but if he doesn't trust men why did he invite me here? It's not like I am a mighty king or anything, i am just a simple fisher who became a king."

"I think my father was impressed how you tried to keep the peace and when that didn't work you fought for everyone, not just the mankind but for us elves too. We all know you are not a mighty king, atleast not yet but I believe you will do more good.

"Uhh, thank you Prince Legolas."

"You are welcome. But now I recommend you rest before you meet my father again."

"Yes, i guess it would be wise to do that."

And then Legolas left without saying a word. It was quite weird of him to come here but Bard guessed he didn't want to say those thing when someone else was present.

Bard went to his bag to see if something was missing. He noticed that his knife wasn't in there but he figured the elves went through his bag before bringing it here and took it.

Then Bard took his jacket off and laid on the bed falling asleep. He had only been on the road for a few days but it still a nice bed always wins.
