Hellou, sorry for not being active in a LONG time. School has been really busy and when I finally had a vacation I really went for it and had the time of my life, trying to forget everything stressful. So I may have become a bit rusty so forgive me... Anyhow, let's begin!

It had been a few weeks since Bard had talked with the other fishermen about the rumors and now every man, woman and child knew about the fact that he had an elf lover. It was a mess for a few days but eventually it calmed down. Besides everyone was busy preparing for his coronation that was to take place the day after tomorrow.
The new king of the lonely mountains Dain Ironfoot was coming, as well as the rest of the company. Gandalf was to do the speech and place the crown to his head. And Bard was hoping for the miracle of Thranduil coming, to show that men and elves were really in good terms.

It was a lovely yet a busy evening and Bard was pacing back and forth in his family's new home thinking of all the scenarios that could take place at the day of his coronation. He was as nervous as he had ever been, yes, he had been the unofficial king for months but that did not mean he couldn't be nervous about the fact that he was to be the official king of Dale.
As he was pacing back and forth Bard heard faint footsteps behind him. "Father? Are you alright?" A voice called. Bard could recognize that voice anywhere, it was his oldest child Sigrid.
Bard stopped the pacing and turned around to face his oldest daughter. "I am alright, I suppose..." He said shrugging his shoulders.
"You look really tired father, I think you should call it a night and go to bed early." She suggested carefully.
"I am not sure if I can Sigrid... There is still so much to do before the crowning..." Bard said burying his head to his hands.
Sigrid continued with a calm voice. "Yes, I am aware father. But that does not mean you can be tired, the new people of Dale are doing all the things that we need ready for the coronation, so you do not need to worry."
"I guess I could use some rest..." Bard said quietly.
Sigrid nodded firmily. "Then you will rest. Make sure you go to bed as soon as possible, alright? I need to leave now and find Tilda as I need her with some things. And only god knows where she is right now."
"Alright, good night Sigrid." Bard responded smiling.
"Good night father." And with that Sigrid turned around and left.
Bard smiled to himself and walked upstairs to where his bed was. He stripped from his day clothes and crawled under covers falling asleep immediately.

Bard was still in bed sleeping peacefully. Well he was as Bain ran in to the house yelling for his father to wake up and get outside.
When Bain didn't hear anything he ran upstairs to where his father was sleeping. "Father! Wake up! The king of the elves in here!"
Bard woke up in a surprise and as a result fell to the floor. "What?" He asked confused. "Why did you wake me up Bain?" He asked looking around to make sense of what time it was. Apparently it was morning.
"King Thranduil has arrived! No doubt for the coronation but he is a day early!" He said waving his hands around.
Bard shook his head. "Typical Thranduil... Alright, I am up. Let me get dressed and I will be there in a moment. "
When Bain was walking away Bard stopped him by asking a question. "Wait, where is that exactly?" He asked squinting his eyes.
"He is at the gate, waiting for you father." Bain said.
