Bard and Legolas were were practicing almost everyday. On the days they weren't Bard was at the library reading the books that were in the common language. He wasn't bored but he wished he would get to talk to Thranduil about their deal and make it official, So that there wouldn't be anything left unfinished. However he had not seen Thranduil after he left the recovery room week ago.

Bard was sitting on his bed reading a book he smuggled out of the library to read in his own room. Earlier he had written to his children about how he was doing and what he was learning. He also told them he was planing to visit Dale for a few days before coming back to Mirkwood to learn more.

Bard was lost in the book he was reading but was interrupted by a knock on his rooms door. He got up with the book still in his hand and opened the door only seeing it was Thranduil.

"Thranduil? May I ask what brings you here?" Bard asked confused.

"Am i not allowed to go where ever I may in my own home?"

"Well, yes... I guess... But I don't understand why you have come here?" Bard asked even more confused.

"I came here to talk I suppose, and I had new clothes made for you." Thranduil finally answered while holding a neat pile of clothes in his hands.

"Ah, I see, thank you. Come in." Bard opened the door fully to let Thranduil walk in to his room.

Thranduil walked in Bards room and put the clothes carefully down on a chair so that they were still in a neat pile. "You didn't have to bring me new clothes, I am still using the ones you gave me before." Bard said closing the door and walking back to his bed sitting down. He didn't think that would offend Thranduil and since he didn't react to it he continued to sit.

"If I have guests in my home I would like them to look presentable." Thranduil said while looking Bard up and down.

"Yes... I do guess it looks good to other people..." Bard said a bit self conscious.

Thranduil turned around and walked to the window and looked outside for a bit. Bard looked at him waiting in silence.

"Do the man kind know any kind of spells or enchantments?" Thranduil asked after a while still looking outside.

"No we don't, well to the point I know at least. Why do you ask?"

"It is nothing you need to think about." Thranduil said dismissively.

"I see..." There was a small silence. "Have you been busy? I haven't seen you for a week." Bard asked

Thranduil finally looked at Bard and he finally saw how tired Thranduil looked. It was like he had lost part of his glow that he used to have. "Yes, there was lot to discuss after the fight."

"So i have heard from Legolas." Bard said.

"Yes, I see you have become close with him?" Thranduil asked.

"Yes, well I do enjoy his company and he is a great teacher. I have been learning and now that my body has recovered it is easy to move."

"That is good to hear. But there is something else."

"Yes?" Bard asked

"I have heard many elves complaining about how you use the training grounds and the library. They also have their own thoughts about man kind so I am not surprised. But because you are a king and my visitor they have not tried to stop you from going anywhere, am I right?"

"Yes, well there was some commotion the first time me and Legolas went to the training grounds but after that everything has been fine. Well apart from the stares... But i guess that is expected as I am a man in Mirkwood who also happens to be a king." Bard said.

"Yes, that is quite unheard in the elven history." Thranduil walked away from the window sliding his hand on the table feeling the wood it was made out of while Bard remained silent looking over at Thranduil.

Thranduil walked over to the door. "I will have the contract written, when that is done you will be invited to sign it."

"That sounds good, I am looking forward to it." Bard said lightly smiling.

"Yes, I will take my leave now." Thranduil said leaving.

Bard got rose up from his bed with the book in his hand. He walked toward the table and put the book down carefully. As he wasn't about to break something that belonged to the elfs. He was about to look at the clothes that Thranduil had bought for him but he noticed something on the table that wasn't there before.

He picked it up and looked at it. It was a red leaf, the same kind of Thranduil had in his crown. It was beautiful that was for granted but Bard didn't understand why Thranduil had left it for him.

He put the piece of jewelry in his pocket and looked over the clothes. There was a blue shirt this time paired with white pants and a black belt. There was also a blue cloak that had some kind of jewelry on it, it looked really beautiful.

"He has to stop giving me such nice clothes, they will be ruined by me..." Bard said quickly taking the clothes in his hands and putting them in his closet, then he left his room in a hurry for a reason even he didn't know.
