Juliett's POV:
At school, I tried my best to stay as far away from Romeo as possible, to show him how it feels to be avoided by someone intentionally. Every time he tried to kiss me, I'd say I had to go or something. I just HATED kissing him. It made me feel so weak and I couldn't let something stupid like that come in the way of my mission.
I would sometimes see girls -- besides the Katelyns -- flirting with Romeo and he even flirts back, but I'm not allowed to do that?! That's like so unfair! But, that's also a good thing, because then I could use that as an excuse as to when I wanna do a little flirting with some hotties.
Today we had a fight and now he's all mad at me, but I didn't care at all, because I did intentionally. We were in class, watching a movie. We weren't sitting together, because we had a substitute, who really couldn't care less about what we did. So, basically we were all walking around and having fun, until the assistance principal came into the room and made us watch some stupid science movie. I swear I was practically asleep, if it weren't for what was going on in the front row.
Romeo was sitting with some skanky girl on his lap and he really seemed to be enjoying it. His eyes met mine and he raised an eyebrow, I just rolled my eyes and turned around. I noticed there was some guy staring at me. An invisible light bulb flashed on top of my head as my brain began forming an idea. I looked to see his notebook on his desk, it was open and I could see his name neatly printed on the margin.
"Ha ha, you are you funny, Will! Hilarious!" I made sure to talk loudly as well as laugh to make sure Romeo could hear.
The Will kid stared at me confused and as if I had three heads.
"Laugh along!" I hissed.
He stared at me again for a while, but then started laughing with me. I put my arm around him and laughed harder. Romeo wasn't the only one who was starting to stare.
"What, y'all never seen two friends havin' a laugh?!"
They all turned around, but Romeo didn't take his eyes off of me, so I stuck out my tongue out at me. He just chuckled and turned back around. Oh, he is so lucky it was my tongue and not my finger!
"So, what is up with that guy and you?" I heard Will ask.
"He's such a jerk!" I told him. "He thinks that I'm gonna come begging and pleading for him, then he is so wrong!"
I don't know why I was telling him all this, when I barely knew him, but it felt nice talking to someone. I turned all the way around and got a better look at Will. He had a pale, but flawless face with the cutest brown eyes and short brown hair. He had on a green shirt with faded jeans and a pair of Nikes.
He reminded me of Jay. Jay, man I missed him, it's been a long while since I last seen him. He hasn't really come to visit, even though he promised me he would. The only one time he called after our last meeting, was when he had heard from Riley that I got sick, he wanted to know if I was alright or not. After that, not one single visit or letter from him.
Anyway, the bell soon rang and we all took our bags and headed for our next class. Mine was Gym. Romeo would be there, but not the girl. We played dodge ball; girls vs. boys. The game went pretty well, first we were losing, but then we started winning, because I had managed to get the guys' best player out. And that would be Will. It wasn't that hard really.
Then there were two girls left, one of the Katelyns - the softer one, and me. For the guys there was only Romeo left. He had both balls, I had none and I still knew I was going to win. Not the just the game though, everything. Romeo picked up one of the red balls and threw it perfectly straight at Katelyn, except it never hit her, I pulled her out of the way.
