Juliett's POV:
I still couldn't believe that-that asshole was Romeo! I mean, I knew that he could be a jerk, but the fact that she could actually be that big of a jerk was just unbelievable to me. I also couldn't believe that he was touching me in my sleep, I mean perv much?! Ooh, and I couldn't believe Riley actually made us hug like that! Basically, I couldn't believe a lot of things at the moment.
God, I hated Romeo; he made my childhood hell. They say that when you're kids, you have like absolutely no problems or worries, but that so doesn't apply to me. I already had my fair share of issues at home and Romeo only made my life worse.
People were always saying how we made such a cute couple and that'd we look perfect together when we older. Just because my name was Juliett and his was Romeo, everyone just assumed that we were gonna end up like Romeo and Juliet, minus the killing in the end. But, who knows if I end up staying in this house for long, I might as well just end up killing Romeo or myself in the process.
"Hey there." I heard a voice say.
"Speak of the devil." I muttered to myself.
I looked up and saw Romeo himself standing in my doorway with a wide grin on his face. He was leaning against the door with his arms crossed over his chest.
"So, I guess I'm getting the silent treatment again, huh?" the smile never left his face and neither did his deep dimples. He walked over to me and stood in front of me with that stupidly beautiful smile of his. "You know you're actually kinda pretty, guess you outgrew your little baby fat, huh?"
I stood up from my bed - I just couldn't take this for much longer because I knew that Romeo was getting to me and that pretty soon I would be tempted to speak out and say something I know I was going to regret - and tried to walk past him.
All of a sudden then Romeo grabbed me by the wrist. I snapped my head back at him with rage in my eyes and my mouth open to curse his face out. But, before I could even get a single word out, he pulled me down and on to his lap. My legs automatically wrapped themselves around his waist and a loud gasp rushed out.
Romeo only smirked and wrapped his arms around my own waist and leaned his face close to me. My eyes widened and I could feel blood rushing up to my cheeks.
"Why won't you speak with me?" he asked, sounding genuinely hurt.
"Let me go!" I cried, trying to pull away from him. Romeo removed his hands from my waist and grabbed a hold of both my wrists now. I had my hand balled up into fists and were pushed up against his chest, trying to push him away.
"Yeah, I don't think so." he said causally. The smile returned to his face.
The more I struggled against his grip, the tighter it got. All of a sudden, Mr. Rogers walked into the room and I immediately stopped what I was doing, worried what I was doing might look wrong.
"Romeo, what are you doing?" But it didn't seem like he had even noticed me. "Leave her alone."
"But, I was just talking to her." he replied back in a innocent voice.
I almost scoffed at the absurdity of his response and the look on his face.
"Well, put her down then, I don't think she likes that," Mr. Rogers told him more sternly then. "She's not like the other girls, you know."
Romeo only ignored his father's request, but he did loosen his grip on my wrists a little.
"Why won't she talk to me, dad? Did I do something wrong?"
