Chapter 11: Distance

At 4:00 the beach started to get empty. I had a great day besides the fight and Cam's childishness. Ion understand these people. You can't force nobody to like you and you damn sure can't make nobody be in a relationship with you. When I'm ready for that I'll let everybody know but until then leave me alone bout all that!

The crew is amazing I absolutely love how they treat me. Like I've been apart of the crew forever! "Rudy, you riding with me or Cam?" Jamal asked tearing me away from my thoughts. I looked over at Cam who was giving me a sympathetic look and rolled my eyes. I'll be damned if I act like I wanna be around her childish ass.

"I'm riding with you. I ain't fina get in the car with nobody who put me out." I snapped looking straight at Cam. She so slow... I told her ima sensitive person all you gotta do is say one thing and ima be boo hoo crying like a baby. But I'll never let nobody see me weak. I can't I put too much on myself as it is.

I got in the passengers side of Jamal's car and Melvin got in the back with the twins as and I'm guessing Sylus got in the car with Cam. "You hungry lil sis?" Jamal asked as he pulled outta the driveway. I shook my head no and he turned the radio up. Lucky me my favorite song was on.. 'Religious' by Ne-Yo. Yaaas!

I blew the whole song from beginning to the end. Everybody in the car was looking at me like ummm... We ain't know you could sing. "Oh I guess I was wrong then..." Melvin said in defeat. I smirked at him and then song along to the next few songs. "Melvin did you talk to Cam?" I asked looking back at him. He nodded his head and I turned to face Jamal.

"So what did she say to you?" I asked Jamal. A huge smile spread across his face and I punched his arm. "Tell me butt head!" I yelled as I turned the radio down. "She told me that she really falling for you and she understand how you feeling right now but she sprung. She said you turning a playa soft. If I could remember Cam did so many females dirty. I've never heard her say some lovey dovey type shit like that. She really like you Rudy. I understand yeen looking for love but don't do my dawg dirty!"

"I hear you brother but y'all gotta give me some time to develop feelings and time to learn to be myself. I barely know what I wanna do in my life. If I was meant to be with Cam fate will bring us together. Until then shut the hell up and let me live!" Ion know why they tryna force me to be with Cam. I don't even feel for her like that. I mean she cool hell yea but as far as relationship goes naa. They just told me she did females dirty.. How the hell they want me to feel?

"Stop trippin you feeling my dawg you just don't know how to show those feelings." Melvin snickered from the back seat. He's right though. There is a feeling there for Cam. But I just don't know what it is. My mind is telling me that I wanna be with her and that we could have something. But isn't the saying "follow your heart"? And that's what I'm doing following my heart. Which is telling me that we just friends plus she got a girlfriend! And on top of that, female attitude outta this world! She put me outta her car! Am I supposed to easily forgive her?

"Ummm I got a phoooone caaaall." Jamal sang as we pulled up to a red light. He answered it and smiled huge at me. I rolled my eyes cause it's kinda obvious it's Cam. And yes I was into that conversation!

"Hello?....Wussup Bro?....Ha naw she right here....Yea but first, you gotta be at my house at around 8. Don't forget but here she go." My eyes got huge and I wanted to punch him in the face. Who the hell said I wanna talk to Cam? I snatched the phone from him and hit the end button.

"The hell you do that for?!" He screamed. "I don't wanna talk to her. After how she did me today, ion think ima ever talk to her! So leave me alone!" I spat back. She called back and he told her what I said. With no further words he pulled into my driveway and I got out slamming his door. I'm beyond pissed at this moment.
