Drake decided to go to school for the last half of the day. After getting there, he noticed it was lunch time, so his first task was to find Jessica. He found her in her usual area, talking to her few posh friends, then hesitantly walked up and caught a few glares from the others.
"Hi, can I talk to you?" He asked politely. The other girls then glared at him with varying looks of disapproval, but Jessica smiled.
"Sure," she replied and took a few steps towards him.
"I would like to take you to Steve's party tonight, if you still want to go."
"Oh... you were being serious?"
"Of course," Drake smiled. "Weren't you?"
"Not really," she replied shyly.
"Oh," Drake responded in a duller tone. "I thought you wanted to spend some time with me."
Jessica sighed as she thought about it.
"Will that crazy bitch be there?"
"I just talked to Damian and no, she won't be."
"And the party is not going to be too crazy, right?"
Drake shrugged.
"Steve's been throwing some pretty good ragers again lately, but it is a Tuesday so I don't think it will be so bad."
"Okay," Jessica tentatively agreed. "Maybe for an hour, then."
"Cool. I'll come pick you up at around six tonight, if you want?"
"Sounds good," Jessica smiled.
Drake then found his way to the usual hang out spot to see the boys and girls there together.
"So, you girls are actually hanging out here now?" He asked, happily surprise as he arrived amongst them. Morgan smirked at him as he sat just over from her.
"Yeah, do you have a problem with that?"
"Nope. It's all good with me, babe," he said with a laugh. Morgan fought and eye roll before turning back to her conversation with the girls. Drake then glanced around to notice the new girl sitting next to Christine.
"And who's this?"
"It's Shannon. She's from France," Lenka quickly informed him. "Ah, Shannon, s'il vous plaît rencontrer, Drake," he introduced him to her. Shannon smiled.
"Ah, merci, Lenka," she smiled at him. "Drake, it is nice du meet jou."
"You too," Drake grinned before glaring at Lenka. "Hold up. Do you actually speak French?"
Lenka snickered back at him before holding his finger up to his lips quickly.
"Shh."
"That's cool, bro," Drake then offered his hand to Lenka for a handshake. "Still on tonight, Steve?"
"You know it," Steve glared back at him. "I'm a man of my word."
"But it is a Tuesday," Lenka needlessly reminded them.
"It's a prime party night, Lenk," Steve smirked. "The folks are gone again, and I've ordered a keg."
"They're gone again, already?" Drake asked in astonishment. Steve gave a nod.
"It's stranger when they're actually home."
"Sad," Lenka sighed, knowing his friend was usually left alone in his large house. Steve shrugged.
