Ferrie pushed her way out the entrance of the building and walked hastily back to the car barefoot, carrying her shoes. As she slid back into the car Steve glared at her.

"Where are your stockings?"

"Fuck," she sighed.

"Do you want me to wait while you go retrieve them?"

"No, just drive."

"Alright," he replied and started the car again.

"Oh my god," she cringed audibly, and winced as she adjusted her underwear from the outside of her dress. Steve glanced over at her curiously.

"What happened?"

"I don't really want to talk about it," she responded while trying to breathe normally.

"Tell me."

"He rubbed tiger balm down there. And now I'm paying for it!"

"How the fuck did that happen?" He asked with a laugh. She sighed again.

"My stupid curiosity. I found it when I was looking through his draws for clues. I didn't find any, by the way."

"That shits lethal. I got dared once to put some on my balls. So I did. Then I wished I hadn't."

"I bet," Ferrie giggled back at him.

"So, you couldn't find anything in his apartment?" He asked her seriously. She shook her head.

"Nothing. She hasn't been in there. It was like, almost too clean."

"That could mean something."

"I did find out that he inherited the CEO position at his father's law firm," she stated. "Lawyers are great liars, aren't they?"

"That's what I told Morgan when she tried to brag about him."

"Because it's true," Ferrie gave a nod. "Uh, fuck. Can you get me home faster? Seriously, I need a shower."

"Yeah, just after I pick up the pizza I ordered."

"Ugh, Steve..."

"It's on the way. I'll be quick," he muttered while also enjoying the thought of her being uncomfortable through her own doing. "Do you like pineapple on pizza?"

"I don't fucking care," she groaned back, really not feeling an interest in conversing with him at all in the moment.

Once home, Ferrie quickly walked into the house and was heading straight for her bathroom when Martin intercepted her.

"Oh good, you're back. Damian called before."

"Ah, yeah. He rang me on my cell after that. Everything is all good," she reassured him.

"Oh, alright. So how was the last week of term going?" He asked kindly.

"I'm excited for two weeks off!" She replied in an overly cheerful tone, then handed him the slice of pizza that was missing one bite. "Here. I'm so full."

"Oh," Martin smiled briefly as his daughter paced away.

"Never touching tiger balm again..." she muttered to herself while firmly pushing the bathroom door closed.

Ferrie awoke with a sudden burst of remorse for what had happened the night before, so she typed a message to her boyfriend to invite him over and soon enough he was walking into her bedroom.
