Soon enough Drake was also dropped back at the school's main reception. After a stressful ambulance ride with Jessica and waiting in the emergency room with her for a while, she insisted he go back to school with a teacher who was leaving after her mother arrived to support her. Drake too appeared a mess with hair that looked like it had been pulled and strained and his eyes supported dark bags under them from a lack of sleep. The stress of the situation was now really getting to him as he knew it had been his decisions that caused everything to happen. Drake paced through the school towards his car when he ran into Lenka just leaving a class near him.

"Drake! Hey, where are you going?" Lenka asked as he slowed him down. Drake ran his fingers agitatedly through his hair as he stopped in front of him and peered around.

"Oh man, I got to get out of here," he responded anxiously. Lenka looked instantly concerned from his friend's distraught demeanour.

"I heard what happened. Will Jessica be alright?"

"Yeah. Ah, she's real shaken up... again. But she told me she'll be fine... so I just came back to get my car then I'm going back to see her at the hospital."

Lenka put his hand on Drake's shoulder.

"That's, that's good, man," Lenka paused. "Look I need to talk to you," he mentioned awkwardly as he searched for the right words. Drake glared at him, now concerned with his unsure tone.

"What?"

"I saw you outside last night... with Ferrie," Lenka admitted softly. Drake let out a regretful moan.

"The biggest fucking mistake of my life. I feel so terrible about it. I could hardly sleep last night."

"What were you thinking, Drake? Were you wasted?" Lenka asked almost harshly. Drake put one hand over his eyes as he glanced down and shook his head.

"No. I barely had two cups of beer..." he forced out as he wrung his fingers through his hair again. Lenka let out a disappointed sigh in himself.

"I should have done something..."

"No, I just shouldn't have done anything," Drake replied, hoping Lenka wouldn't feel as guilty as he did.

"I guess."

"Lenk, I really have to go now. But I'll talk to you later, okay?" Drake uttered nervously as they did their handshake, then he started to walk away.

"Okay," he nodded and went to walk off too.

"Oh, Lenka? It was just you that saw, right?" He asked suspiciously. "Like, Steve doesn't know, does he?"

"It was just me," Lenka stated honestly. "And no, not that I know of."

"Okay," he took a breath. "Can we just keep that between us for now?"

"Yeah," Lenka agreed.

Drake then paced through the student parking lot towards his car, when he spotted Ferrie leaning on the bonnet of Damian's empty car. Drake stopped in his tracks before then moving in her direction and glancing around the area to see she was alone.

"What the fuck was that? Why are you here? And where the fuck is Damian?" He demanded to know as he neared her. Ferrie held her hands up in response to his sudden outburst.

"Wow, take it easy. I'm just here to get my bag. Damian's back at his place, so calm down," she responded as if he had been the only one to overreact that day.
