Theo felt sick as they drove through D.C. traffic to their favorite Mexican cafe Sofia's. They were going to get some lunch. Reed was hungry because they had skipped breakfast. Theo didn't really care about eating anything. He felt sick and not just from the damn cancer.

Tomorrow his hell would start. Who was Walter fooling? Theo's hell had already begun.

He wanted to puke all over Reed's cherry red Toyota that he was so anal about cleaning twice a week. He kept repeating those words Reed had said at the office.

( " We'll postpone it." )

His stomach churned. His heart beat fast. His brain raced with images of Reed packing his stuff, Reed walking out the apartment that was their home , Reed leaving him forever.

Wasn't that the next move? , he worried. His hand touched his belly. Moving out. Finding someone else. Someone healthy. Someone not dying.

He loved Reed. He wanted Reed to be happy. If leaving made him happy Theo wouldn't interfere with that. Even if it broke his heart.

Reed gingerly backed into a cramped space in front of the tiny cafe and once secured turned off the ignition. He turned to Theo and he was concerned. Theo looked like he was in pain.

" Theo , are you alright? Do you need to go back to the doctor? Talk to me. Are you ok? "

" When , Reed ? "

" When what ? "

Theo looked at him. The man he loved. The man he knew he would lose.

" When are you leaving? "
