I Will Leave

If you want me gone, then I will leave
For I am not one to beg or plead
I'll pack my bags and say goodbye
Without a single tear in my eye

I used to think I couldn't live without you
But now I see that wasn't true
You took my love and tossed it aside
Left me broken and bruised inside

I gave you my heart, my all, my everything
But you didn't value the love I was bringing
You pushed me away and shut me out
Leaving me with nothing but doubt

But I refuse to dwell in this pain
For I know I have so much to gain
I'll pick up the pieces and move on
And with each step, I'll become stronger

I'll find the light in this darkened room
And rise above this feeling of doom
For I am more than the love you didn't see
I am stronger, braver, and free

So if you want me gone, then I will leave
But know that I won't be grieving
For I am capable of so much more
And I won't let you bring me down anymore

I'll spread my wings and fly away
Leaving behind this painful decay
I'll find my purpose and my worth
And live my life without you on this earth

So goodbye my love, farewell my dear
I hope one day you'll see me clear
That I am more than the love you didn't choose
And I'll find someone who won't make me feel used

So if you want me gone, then I will leave
But know that I will find my reprieve
For I am strong and I'll rise above
And find the beauty in letting go of your love
