CHAPTER 26 - RANDOM

At dahil maaga pa naman at wala pang announcement para pabalikin sila sa Theater ay tumambay muna sila sa rooftop.

Actually tumakas nga lang sila. Dahil binawal ng school na tumambay sila sa rooftops. To avoid accidents.

"When did you discover how to paint." tanong ko kay Ann na nakasandal sa aking balikat.

"When Im still a kid, I remember I always draw. Even the wall of my room had a drawing. Even just in any kind of blank paper. That's the time Dad bought me lots of Drawing paper. He's the first person who supports my hobby. Until my drawing leveled up. Until I tried to paint in real." mahabang paliwanag nito.

Naiimagine niya ang pagiging makulit nito nung bata pa lang ito. Dahil kahit ngayon naman nakikita niya minsan nagiging isip bata pa rin ito.

"How about you?" tanong nito.

Tumikhim naman siya. "I..ahh. uhmm unlike you, you discovered your talent when you were young. For me, I was already a teenager when I discovered painting. When I was in the US, I remember I had a friend who taught me how to paint. But I didn't know her personally. It's just a coincidence that we were hang out with the same place. We click. Maybe because I don't know anyone there and since I don't like socializing with other people. And Im not used to. " napailing siya ng palihim.

Sa tagal na kasi nun ay talagang hindi na niya maalala ang hitsura nito.

"Really? That's odd. So where is that person now?"

Napatingin siya dito at tinatantiya ang reaksiyon nito.

"It's been years. I can't remember her face now. And we've never known each other that long. I just remember that whenever I'm at my hangout, she's there too. When we return here at the Philippines I never heard any news from her anymore." tugon ko dito.

Pansin niya ang pagbuka ng bibig nito at pagsara na para bang gustong sabihin pero sa huli ay pinili nitong itikom ang bibig.

"Rhian says No one knows that you're good at painting except of course with your family and Rhian. Is this your first time to participate?" tanong nito sa akin.

"When I discover it, I have no intention to pursue. It was just my past time. No. It's not my first time. One time, Rhian accidentally saw me while painting. And that is the time she pushed me and encourages me to participate. And that is last year." sagot ko dito.

Napapatango naman ito.

"Announcement to all participants to please proceed to Theater now. The painting are ready to show to the judges."

As we stand together, we heard the footsteps and people who arguing while approaching our place.

"Tanga ka ba! Alam mong hindi pwedeng lapitan ang subject mo pero anong ginawa mo?!. Paano kapag namukhaan ka??"

Hindi ako nagkakamali sa boses na iyon. Boses ni Millie??

Mabilis niyang hinila si Ann sa gilid kung saan hindi sila kita.

"No worries okay. Hindi naman nila ako namukhaan e. Tsinek ko lang kung buhay pa sila."

Kita niya ang likod ni Paliparan pero ang kausap nito ay hindi niya makita. Pero parang pamilyar ang boses nito.

"Haysss." ginulo ni Paliparan ang buhok nito na parang nasstress.

"Bakit ka ba kasi nagpapakastress diyan sa pinsan mo? Kung tutuusin kayang kaya naman nitong gawin ang gusto nito. What is the use of his money? Right?" tugon nito.
