Chapter 23

I woke up and Lia wasn't in my arms. I quickly got up and scanned the bathroom for her. My heart pounded in my chest. I went downstairs in my pajama pants and called out for her. "Lia!" I yelled running into the kitchen and she was there cooking breakfast. She was listening to music with her headphones in and I sighed. She danced and turned around seeing me. She pulled her headphones off and her smile dropped.

"What's wrong?" She asked and I realized that I was in deep. I ran my hands through my hair and went over to her. My lips collided with hers and she moaned. I pulled away.

"You weren't there when I woke up." I said frowning and she smiled at me

"Awee baby" She said hugging me tightly and kissing me all over my cheeks and chin and nose. I laughed as she did.

"I'm supposed to be coddling you" I laughed pulling her near me and kissing her neck. She giggled as I tickled her.

Soon I heard someone laughing.

We looked at the entry way of the kitchen and saw Miles, Christian, and Giovanni. They stood at the doorway.

"I told you guys had to see it for yourselves" Tyler said coming around them smirking

"I didn't believe it" Miles said and they all walked into the kitchen

"Why are you here?" I asked them pulling Lia behind me.

"Relax man" Christian said looking at Lia who peeked from behind my back "I'm Christian Rossi. Cameron's cousin"

Lia came from around me and shook his hand. "Hi. I'm Lia. Cameron's.."

"Girlfriend" I said and she looked at me. I hadn't had the perfect moment to ask her yet but she was still mine.

"Actually-" Lia started and with one look at me she was quiet. "It's nice to meet you Christian. Are you also family members of Cameron?"

Giovanni walked in and shook her hand too. "I'm Giovanni Romano. And we're friends" He said

"I thought you said you didn't have friends?" Lia asked me and I shook my head crossing my arms.

"Not for much longer if they don't tell me why they're here" I said

"I'm Miles Marino." He said looking at Lia with a smirk. I wanted to stab him.

"Lia why don't you head upstairs" I said to her

"Nonsense. It's pretty early. Are you guys hungry?" She asked and they looked at her shocked

"Absolutely starving" Miles said and she laughed. Her bright smile made him smile at her and I wanted to cut him.

"Okay breakfast is almost done. Then I'll leave you boys to it." She said turning back to the stove.

They all sat at the table in silence. I leaned against the counter next to the stove as she cooked with my arms crossed. I stared at her and she looked at me.

"Be nice" She said lowly

"This is me being nice" I said to her

"Your friends came to see you. Go over there." She said and I sighed. I grabbed her chin and kissed her on her lips deeply and pulled away. She had a flustered look in her eyes and licked her lips. My jaw clenched as I resisted the urge to think about where I wanted her lips to touch next. I looked over to see them watching us and quickly turn their heads. I went over to the table and sat with them. I leaned back in my chair with one arm over the back.

"To what do I owe this visit?" I asked

"Tyler brought up some concerns about you." Christian said and I looked at Tyler
