Chapter 28

I came downstairs wearing my favorite black suit. I opted out the tie and wore a black button down with the first three buttons unbuttoned. I saw Tyler in the mix dancing with some girl. She was all over him per usual. I looked around for Lia. Some girl came by me and smiled.

"Hi" She said running her hand on my chest

"Not interested" I said walking past her and she looked mad

"I can make it worth your while" She said following me

"It won't be that's the thing. Nothing you can offer me will be so please do me a favor and leave me alone. I am two seconds from losing it because I cannot find my girlfriend. And I am this close to resorting to less pleasant measures to find her." I said to her

"Who's your girlfriend?" She asked

"Hey" I heard someone and I saw Bree.

"Miranda let's go" Bree grabbed the girl and walked off with her too quick for me to ask her where Lia was.

The music blasted in the house and I groaned. Why did this bother me? Partying used to be my norm but I can't stand the amount of people surrounding me. I just want to find Lia. I looked around and looked until I saw Cat. She was dancing with some guy and I watched as Alex stared at them.

"Where's Lia?" I asked him and he looked at me pissed

"Not sure" He said crossing his arms staring at them

"If it bothers you stop them" I said and he looked at me

"You're giving me advice now?" he asked

"You need it." I said and he passed me the cigarette in his hand and went over to them. I lit it and smoked it looking around to see Lia with some guy. She was laughing and smiling and I was ready to kill him. After putting it out, I walked over there and stopped myself thinking about what she asked me to do tonight.

I went over to her and she looked up at me smiling and it dropped slightly when she saw my face.
"There you are" I said kissing her forehead and wrapping my arm around her waist.

I looked at the guy and he watched my hands on her.
"You are?" I asked him

"A friend of Lia's, Jack" He stuck his hand out and I stared at it. She elbowed me and I shook it.

"Don't remember her mentioning you." I said

"Same here. Who is this Lia?" Jack said and my grip tightened on her waist

"Her boyfriend" I said and he looked at me once and back to Lia

"Yes this is Cameron." She said and my grip got tighter "my boyfriend"

"Oh okay. Well it was nice catching up with you Lia. We'll keep in touch" Jack said walking off with his cup

"You wont" I said to her and she turned to me
"Who the hell is he?"

"Why?" She asked

"Lia don't piss me off. Who is he?" I asked

"Me and him went on a couple of dates. Eli found out about us and I broke it off with him." She said and my jaw clenched

"So a boyfriend" I said and she shook her head

"He never asked. We never established anything. Like us" She said and I looked at her

"You are mine Lia." I said

"I'm saying you didn't ask me so I'm not your girlfriend." She said

"The label means that much to you?" I asked her and she nodded
