Chapter 48- Epilogue

Lia POV

"Amelia stop hitting your brother!" Lauren yelled running after the kids and I laid back into Cameron's lap. He pulled me in closer and wrapped his arms around me.

We sat by the lake around a big bonfire that Christian built. It was nice and toasty and everyone was here. We were staying the weekend here. It was nice. They were all so nice and treated me like family something I never felt before.

"That's right. That's daddy's girl" Christian yelled from the seat beside us. "I taught her those kicks"

I laughed.

"At least you won't have to worry about boys from the looks of those kicks" Giovanni said seated next to Christian. He held Angela in his lap with Sammie in her arms. Sammie was adorable.

"If this isn't birth control I don't know what is." Tyler said sitting across from us staring at Lauren and the kids

We all laughed.
"Yea" Miles said sitting in the chair next to Tyler with Ellie in his arms and Ellie elbowed him.

"Eventually we're having kids you know" Ellie said and Miles groaned

"I don't like sharing." He said and she shook her head at him. The guys raised their beer bottles in agreement, including Cameron.

I looked at him and saw he was staring at me.
"You okay?" he asked while everyone chatted around us

"Better than okay." I said smiling at him and his lips captured mine and I felt him harden under me. He pulled me closer and soon I felt something land in my lap. It was a bag of marshmallows.

He looked up annoyed and we saw Tyler smirking at us. Everyone was staring at us and I felt embarrassed.

"Get a room" Tyler said and Cameron put his middle finger up at him. Cameron stood up with me still in his arms then throwing me over his shoulder. They all laughed.

"Good thing we have one right" Cameron said before walking from the circle.

"You guys are going to have to sanitize that whole room after they leave this weekend" Tyler said and we laughed.

Cameron carried me towards the lake away from the house. We reached the dock and he set me down. He covered my eyes with his hands and walked me down the dock towards the water.

"Where are we going? Cameron I am deathly afraid of open water at night." I said and he chuckled

"Patience love" He said pushing me forward still I couldn't see anything. We came to a stop. "I've felt so empty all my life. I drank. I partied. I thrived off of chaos. I isolated myself thinking that that emptiness would never go away. Then I met you. I never knew what love was. Never seen it before my eyes until I met you. I'm a wreck and I am antisocial and I love control but you loved me anyway despite all of it. I don't think I'll ever deserve your love. But I will cherish it because it's the most precious gift I have ever received. It's the thing I take most pride in. All this money, all this power, all this control is invaluable compared to being loved by you. It's something I can say that I have that no one has. That I don't want anyone else to have."

He removed his hands over my eyes and I saw the stars sparkle in the night time sky. The full moon stood at the center of the lake and I smiled in awe. I turned around to him and saw him on one knee with a ring box in his hand opened. I stood there shocked and looked up to see everyone there with flame lamps in their hands. The lamps spelled out "WILL YOU MARRY ME?"

The tears cascaded down my cheeks and I looked down at him.

"May I have the highest honor in being your husband?" He asked and I got down on my knees nodding. He pulled the ring out and put it on my finger.

"Yes. Cameron yes." I cried and smiled as he kissed me and everyone cheered. I deepened the kiss and he pushed me back. His hand wrapped around my ponytail. I moaned as he touched me.

"Umm" Tyler said and cleared his throat. I pulled away realizing everyone was still there watching us. Cameron's eyes darkened clearly not caring as he pulled me back to him.

"Cameron" I said laughing as I pulled away and his jaw clenched. He pecked my chin and behind my ear.

"This is why I don't do crowds. I want to fuck you into this deck" He whispered in my ear and I felt the familiar feeling in between my legs. He stood up and pulled me up with him and we turned to everyone. They smiled at us and the girls ran towards me giving me a hug and the guys pulled Cameron into their hugs against Cameron's wishes.

"Let's pop a bottle!" Tyler yelled and I laughed

Cameron POV

It had to be at least 1am. We moved to inside the house now and everyone had been drinking including me. They were in the sitting room laughing and talking. My family. My wife. My friends. I couldn't ask for more. I just stared across the room at Lia while she spoke with Lauren laughing.

The seat next to me dipped on the couch and I looked at Ellie. She smiled.

"Congratulations" She said and I smiled at her

"Thank you" I said "You know I thought about you and I for a while after you and Miles got married. I was unfair to you making you choose. You were-are my first ever friend. You taught me to be selfless, trusting, and you had faith in me not many people had. You rejected me and I was devastated but little did I know it was a blessing. It was supposed to happen so you could be happy with Miles and I could find her. And for that I am grateful. You have a friend for life Ellie."

Her eyes teared up and she smiled. "I told you that you deserved to be loved and that you'd find her." She said

I looked up at Lia as she laughed with Tyler taking a shot.

"I never used to believe it. Hell I still don't know if I do. But I'm going to savor every single moment of it until my dying breath." I said and Lia's eyes connected with mine.

"Excuse me" I said to Ellie getting up and going over to her. She looked at me with anticipation in her eyes as I grabbed her chin and crashed my lips onto hers. She stumbled back but I held onto her.

"We were having a conversation" Tyler said and I threw him the finger

He laughed and walked off. I deepened the kiss and then pulled away. She stared at me with her lips parted. She looked flustered.

"Upstairs now" I said to her and pulled her out the room before anyone could notice. We went upstairs to the room Christian and Lauren let us have for the weekend. I closed the door behind me.

She stared at me in her yellow dress and black heels. She was my sunshine. My joy. My happiness. Mine. I stalked over to her and kissed her on the lips. I kissed her neck and down her body. I pulled the dress down off her and she looked at me before stepping out of the dress at her feet. She wore her black lace underwear set and her heels.

I backed her up onto the bed and she fell down and I hovered over her.
"I love you" I said staring at her. She was beautiful inside and out. She saw the beauty in my heart when it was nothing but darkness. She made me see the light. And the beauty in that too.

She leaned up and looked into my eyes. "You okay?" she asked and I felt the ring on her finger touch my face. My ring. I kissed her again and smiled.

"Why are you smiling like that?" she asked laughing softly

"I'm happy." I said laughing too before connecting my lips with hers once more.
