Allegra Chant would have appreciated it, just once, if things could be easy.

Killing Victor Rookwood and his men had left her numb, but Allegra pressed forward because she needed to. She ached to just spend a day in classes, worry-free and happy.

But there was always another thing to do.

The thought struck her mind as she slid painfully onto the muddy beach, dodging another one of the Graphorn's charging attacks. Seeing the Lord of the Shore brought her a sense of awe and majesty at first. Who wouldn't be in awe of its size, of its absolute strength?

Now, though, she would have given anything for the brute to leave her alone.

She stumbled to her feet and cast a Swift dodge, feeling a rush of air as she blinked to safety. Allegra spun to face the Graphorn. As it raised a claw to swing at her, she threw a Bombarda that made it stumble, watching the beast fall heavily on the wet ground.

Allegra took a moment to catch her breath. The Graphorn stared at her from underneath its heavy horns. As she locked eyes with the Lord of the Shore, Allegra understood: the beast was just as tired as she was.

So when it started charging at her, scaled paws pounding against the beach, Allegra knew she needed to give the Lord of the Shore the respect it was owed.

She fell to a low, sweeping bow, squeezing her eyes shut and hoping to whoever was listening that this wasn't going to get her trampled—

—and then she was flying across the landscape on the back of a Graphorn, making its bounding way back to San Bakar's Trial. Her heart gave a leap of joy every time the Lord of the Shore leapt forward. She raised her arms, hair streaming behind her, and enjoyed the breeze and the freedom.

Until she came out of San Bakar's memory.

Allegra drew back from the Pensieve, wiping the wetness from her face. She could feel her hands shaking as she straightened.

The empty face of Isidora's father didn't bother her as much as it should have. She wasn't bothered by the explosive amount of power that spilled from Isidora's wand, or the way she heard Niamh's back crunch as she was thrown into the air. It wasn't even the way San Bakar cast the Killing Curse on Isidora.

It was the fact that the repository was underneath Hogwarts that shook her the most, and that meant she had to go. Right now.
