The library was full of soft chatter this afternoon.

Ominis Gaunt sat in a secluded corner, his tomes sprawled out on the desk. One of his hands was tracing the pages on the tome he'd picked up on Divination. The other was playing idly with Allegra's hair.

It would have almost been sweet if Allegra would stop jiggling her knee beneath the desk. "Miss Chant," Ominis warned in a low whisper, "if you don't stop that soon..."

"Oh, what, Mister Gaunt?" she said playfully. "What're you going to do to me if I don't?"

Her response gave Ominis a little thrill. He wanted to kiss the smile he knew was sitting on her lips right then and there.

Instead, he pinched her hard on the cheek, earning a muffled groan. It worked. Instead of bouncing her leg, she shifted so it was resting against his. He moved his free hand to her knee.

"Aren't you done yet?" Allegra whined. "It's only Divination, Ominis. Please can we go do something?"

Ominis felt himself smile, but he didn't answer. Instead, he pointedly turned the page and began reading with his fingers, smirking at Allegra's frustrated groan.

"How can I tempt you to get out of here?" Allegra begged.

"You can try," Ominis drawled. He could practically feel Allegra's scowl. And then he felt something else entirely.

The girl had swung her legs onto his lap underneath the table, forcing Ominis' hand to shift up to the smooth skin of her thigh, just under her skirt. Her skin was warm and soft and Salazar save him, this wasn't good.

He barely had time to react before he felt Allegra lean closer. His senses were quickly overwhelmed by the scent of clementines, the weight of her legs on his lap, and the presence of her lips hovering on his neck.

"Ominis," she purred, soft and low and straight into his ear. "Darling. Please?"

He could feel heat rising to his cheeks. "You're the bane of my existence," he hissed, feeling himself smile as Allegra dragged him to his feet.

The bliss of the afternoon they spent soaring over Scotland's skies had been heavenly. There couldn't have been anything better: the feeling of lightness, the giddy rush of water spraying at their feet as he and Allegra dipped close to the sea. And of course, there was the kiss he gave her in the secluded glade they'd stumbled upon. They'd pushed the line with each other a little more that day. After her teasing in the library, Ominis couldn't help but pull Allegra onto his lap and press his lips heatedly against hers, enjoying how she turned limp under his touches. Ominis repeated the memory of slipping his fingers under her blouse and dancing his hands over her bare waist several times that night.
