Imagine:
You and Bailey are traveling back to his hometown for Easter. You are really excited to see his family again, as it had been a few months since the last time you guys made the trip back there. You guys decided to meet up with his mom and step-dad at their house and you guys would all go to church together. You guys would drive separately to his aunt's house and then would go by his dad's house later on, in the day.
Alternatively, if you are not religious, then you would meet Bailey and the others at his aunt's house after church and then drove to his dad's house with him. (Pretend that makes any sort of sense 😂)
(This part is while your at the aunt's house)
She has these giant egg hunts and they have really cool stuff in the eggs. His aunt has the adults on one side of the backyard and kids on the other side. Since you, Bailey and Dalton are the oldest kids in the family (pretend that they treat you like you're already part of the family, even though you're not engaged to Bailey or anything (yet 😂)) You guys get to pick which sides you wanted to be on. You picked the kids side, because hey why not and Bailey and Dalton picked the adults side. You found a few eggs and opened them to find candy, some cash and a plastic ring. Dalton and Bailey both found eggs with cash in them, two with some mini bottles of wine and some gift cards too. (Bear with me on this 😂).
You and Bailey stay for a little while longer, til Bailey says "Well, we better be heading to Dad's soon." (Legit a Midwest goodbye 🤦♀️😂) Time skip to after you guys said goodbye to everyone. In the car you and Bailey talked about the egg hunt and how fun it was. You tell him about how you got the plastic ring, the money and candy. He told you about what he got from the egg hunt and then said that he had a surprise for you, but you had to wait till you guys got back home to get it.
You guys spent a decent amount of time with his dad and his family. You guys decided to help the adults hide the eggs and watch the kids try to find them. While you were watching the kids run around and scream once they found some eggs, you felt Bailey wrap his arms around you and rest his head on your head. You hear him say in your ear "One day, there will be a few kids out there that look like us." You move your head to look at him and say "Yeah, one day." He then kissed your forehead head and said to the group "Well, guys I think that we have to get going because Marley is gonna need to be let out soon."
You guys say goodbye to everyone one again and walked with Bailey hand in hand to his car. He opens the door for you and you get in. He walks over to his door and gets in. You turn to him as he turns onto the expressway and say "So, when you made that comment about there being a few kids out in the backyard that look like us, did you really mean that?"
He looks at you and says "Of course, I mean that. I would love to have a family with you, one day. That is if you want that too." Then he returns his gaze to the road in front of him.
You are silent at this moment, because yes, you do want that too, but you didn't know if he felt the same way or not.
You look at him and say "Of course, I want that Bailey!"
He smiles at your answer and continues to drive you both home. Once you guys get there, you rush in to get Marley outside and comeback inside to find Bailey bending down on one knee just a few feet in front of you. You breakdown into tears and before he can even say anything you just say "Yes" through your tears. You both end up laughing and then he says to you "I had a speech and everything, can I still say it and then you can tell me if you accept my proposal?" You laugh again and say "go ahead, sorry that I jumped ahead of the script." He chuckles at that and regains his composure to give you the speech that he had prepared. He said "Y/n, I have had this ring hidden in my apartment, since the third month of our relationship. I've known since the first time I met you that I was going to marry you and spend the rest of my life with you. You are my rock and the best thing that's ever happened to me. I'm so fortunate to have you in my life and I love you so much. Would you do me the honor of being my wife? Y/n, will you Marry me?" You cried again because of how sweet his speech was and how his eyes never left yours the entire time. You say "Yes Bailey, I will marry you." He gets a little teary eyed at that because you mean so much to him and he loves you so much. This makes Marley come running in and looking at you both confused. She runs over to check on Bailey first ( of course 😂) and then she comes over to check on you. You tell him "Well I guess now, we are gonna be one big happy family, isn't that right, Mar Mar?" Marley barks at you in excitement and wags her tail back and forth, as if she was confirming that statement for you. Bailey laughs at her reaction, before he takes you in his arms and kisses you passionately. He says "Man, I can't wait to see you walk down that aisle and become my wife." You chuckle at his statement and say "I can't wait to see if you cry, while watching me walk down the aisle and for you to become my husband."
