You and Bailey got into a fight. You got off the bus for a little bit to get some fresh air and cool down. Plus the tension between you and Bailey, at this moment was very high, which was not helpful in keeping things calm between you two, to say the least. So the moment the bus stopped to get some gas, you saw your chance to get out of the tension filled bus and took it. You hear someone calling your name and look up to see the picture above. You were still annoyed with him, but you couldn't hide the smile that spread across your face, when you saw Mar Mar looking at you with her bright puppy eyes. You look at her and say "I'm just going inside to grab some food and something to drink, I'll be back soon, Marley." Bailey is staring at you and has been, to the point where I'm surprised that there isn't a hole in your skull from his gaze. When you say that you are going to get some food and a drink, he replied with "Darlin' there's food and drinks on the bus, what could you possibly want that's not already on here?" You don't answer him and start to walk towards the convenient store that's attached to the gas station. Before you can physically reach for the front door to the store, you hear the bus door open and quickly close, followed by Marley barking because she is all alone on the bus and doesn't know what is going on. You hear a set of footsteps quickly approach you and a familiar arm comes into your view, reaching for the door. You look up at him with an annoyed expression and say a quick thank you to him, before walking into the store. He follows behind you, until you head down one of the small aisles, towards the back of the store and takes the chance to hold your hand. You hold it back without thinking, while looking at the chips and trying to make a decision on what kind you wanted that wasn't already on the bus. Bailey smiles a little to himself, when he realizes that you are holding his hand even though, you are annoyed with him. You grab a bag of chips of y/fc with your free hand and quickly go over to the refrigerator that has the drinks, to grab y/fd. You walk over to the counter to pay and set the chips and your drink down. You try to reach for your wallet in your pocket, only to see that Bailey beat you to it. He looks at you with a big grin, waiting to see how you'd react. You just give him a small smile and say a quick thank you, before heading for the front door. He quickly walks in front of you to hold the door for you once again and offers to hold your hand or take the bag of chips and your drink from you. You say no thank you, I got it and quickly grab his hand. He just looks at you while smirking, you quickly mumble to him that you're still annoyed with him. He still smirks at you and says sure you are, as he lets you on the bus first. Once back on the bus, you guys sit in silence as you open the bag of chips, causing Marley to watch your every move. Bailey tries to sit next to you on the couch, but you decide to move away from Bailey and onto the other couch. He follows you and you decide to go to the booth instead because it already has a table and it's by the mini fridge, where you put your drink. Basically, you thought it was the best place ever at the moment, that was until Bailey saw you sit down in the booth / bench seat (idk if that's what it's considered, lol) and decided to join you. He looks at you and says "You can't avoid me forever, you know?" You roll your eyes at him and continue trying to eat your chips. He grabs the bag from you and says "If you're so annoyed with me, why were you holding my hand and even smiling at me, while we were in the store?" You look at him and say "Maybe because even though I'm really annoyed with you, I still want you to know that I love you and I do some of those things without thinking sometimes. Now can you please give me back my chips?" He looks at you and says "I'll think about it, ask me about it later." You look at him like he has six heads, but quickly give him a smirk and tell Marley to get him and the chips. When she doesn't even move off her spot on the couch, he turns and looks at you with a big grin. He says "That's all you got? I guess that means, I get to keep these all for myself. Plus, I'm the one who feeds her and takes her on walks, she won't try and get these from me." He walks over to her and bends down to pet her on the head. You use this moment to grab the bag away from him, but he somehow manages to keep it away from you, by holding it even closer to his side. He smiles at you and says "Nice try, babe, but I'm not going to let you get them back that easily." This statement is what started you giving him the silent treatment as a joke and ended with him being extra goofy in order to get you to react. This went on for an hour or so till you finally did react. Once you do, he softly kisses you and holds you in his arms as you both cuddle to the sounds of each other's heartbeats. Marley joins you guys and lays at your feet, so she felt part of the mix as well.
