Selfish.

My eyes are unblinking as I wait for Reiner and Eren to begin fighting. I feel sick and I don't know if it's from the blow to my head or from the nerves.

The stand off seems to take forever. They stare each other down, two predators waiting for the right moment to strike.

Chaos erupts all at once.

Reiner goes in for the first punch and misses, allowing Eren to hit him right in the face. His jaw tearing off in the process. I gasp in horror.

Gabi and Falco are clenching each others hands so hard they might break some fingers. Reiner is laying on the ground, unmoving. He managed to grab Porco away from Eren but they're both just laying there. So still.

The founders head dips down and I see Eren appear out of it. The same scout from earlier - a girl. Flies over to him and they leave together. I look back over at Reiner who seems to try to get back up, but fails. My heart cracks.

He may not of killed Eren but that's not what matters right now. He got Porco back, and he's alive. I know Marley suffered insurmountable loss today, but the selfish part of me is just glad it wasn't my friends.

I run out the door again as soon as the coast is clear I sprint to Reiner and Porco. "Reiner! Porco!!" I scream. Hoping they'll hear me and release themselves from their titans. I finally reach them and immeditaly climb next to Porcos ear.

"Pock!!! You need to wake up!! It's time to go Porco, Pieck needs you! She was hurt bad and she needs you!!" I feel Porco shift from underneath me. I move out of the way so I don't get crushed. I hear the familiar steam shoot out and look at my friend. I run over to him.

"Oh god, Porco" I hold his battered face in my hands. Blood stains his hair and skin. I need help.

"HELP ME!! SOMEBODY HELP ME!" I scream into the empty plaza. "I'll be right back Porco. Hang tight." Porco makes a noise that almost sounds like a laugh but I'm too preoccupied to notice.

I run over to Reiner and climb on top of his face so I am looking right down into his eye. I slam my fists onto his face. "Reiner wake up!! We have to get you help but you need to get out of your titan form. We have to leave here Reiner. It's not safe." I scream while staring right into his eye. I hear him grunt and I hop down so he can move his position.

I run over to him and I'm right there when he comes out of the nape. I immediately take him in my arms. Tears streaming down my face. He is also caked in blood and looks like he's been through hell.

"You're okay you're okay." I repeat over and over again. I'm not sure if It's for me or for him but I can't stop myself from saying it.

I hear multiple footsteps trudge in from behind us and loosen my grip on Reiner. Some soldiers have come. "Over here!!" I yell and wave my arms around. "We need help!"

They come running over and start helping Porco and Reiner. They load them onto some old stretchers and I watch them wheel them away.

"Are you sure you're okay?" A medic asks from beside me. "Hm?" I reply. Before I can hear the rest of the question, I collapse.

I'm not sure how much time has passed when I wake up in the warriors barracks but the sun is shining and my head is killing me.

Right away I remember everything that went down and shoot up in my bed. Big mistake.

I must have a concussion because the dizziness makes me throw up right away. I spew my guts all over the floor and then clench my eyes shut to stifle the nausea.
