No More Time.

Gabi and I watch in awe as Jean zooms through the air, dodging titans and every obstacle. He reaches the detonator and a giant blast sounds off, blowing Erens head clean off of his neck. A giant parasite looking thing emerges from the blast, frantically looking for something to reconnect too. Reiner jumps in just in time and prevents it from connecting with Eren again.

I look over and see Conny, Mikasa and Annie waving us over. "Falco! Dive down!" I yell and he flies down to pick them up. "Hurry Falco we need to get to the others!" Falco flaps his wings and we soar through the air towards Reiner, Pieck and Jean. "Jean, Pieck! We're getting out of here! Armins about to blow that thing to pieces!" Conny yells. "He can't yet! Reiner is down there!" My heart sinks. I see Pieck appear out of her titan. "I think he will make it. The armour should be able to withstand the colossal explosion."

"Should be?" Conny screams from beside me. I shut my eyes. "To pass up this opportunity would be to trample on Reiners resolve! We need to go, now!" I scream as I watch Reiner use every last ounce of his strength to fight this thing off. "Don't die." I whisper under my breath.

Jean and Pieck climb on top of Falco and we all watch as Armins blinding flash of light illuminates the sky, and he transforms into the colossal. The blast destroying everything in its path.

Minutes later, Falco drops as off at Fort Slava. I'm on the ground, staring out at the giant crater that Armins explosion left in its wake. The same explosion that Reiner was laying underneath. I can't bring myself to look inside of it, I'm too afraid of what I might see. I feel a tap on my shoulder and can barely turn my head to see who it is. I turn around and burst into tears.

"Daddy?" My father pulls me into his arms, I can feel his shoulders shaking with sobs alongside mine. I feel his hand caress my hair. "My baby. My strong girl. You're here, you're alive." I hear his words and sob harder, my body shaking with emotion. The relief I feel at seeing my dad coursing through me, along with the worry I have for whether or not Reiner is alive or dead. I turn my head away from my dad's chest and see Pieck and Annie, both mirroring my actions and sobbing into their parents arms.

I hear a thud from behind me, and see the colossal titans arm coming out of the crater. "Armin." I say. I wipe my eyes and look back at my dad. "I'll be back okay? I'll be right back." He nods and I peel my body away from him. I run over to where Mikasa, Conny and Jean are standing, over looking the crater.

I scan the area but see no sign of Reiner. I look to my left and watch as Gabi and Reiners mom walk towards me. Just as Gabi is about to open her mouth, something shifts in the dirt, and tears fall down my face as Reiner lifts himself out of the rubble. I fall to my knees in relief, and can hear the quiet sobs of his mom coming from beside me.

"What the hell? Look over there!" I hear Conny yell. My eyes shoot over and I see that parasite trying to crawl up the side of the dirt wall. "It's still alive even after getting hit by that blast?" I say astounded. "Sure is. What the hell is this thing?" Jean replies. "No clue. But I do know that we can't leave it alive." Levi remarks.

I watch as Armin and Reiner start to make their way towards the scrambling parasite, I worry if they'll make it in time. Armins titan is not known for its speed, and Reiner is already so beaten down. There's another flash of light in the distance, and we're all floored as we watch Eren rise up again in his titan body.

"If that glowing worm thing finds its way back to Eren, the rumbling might start again!" Gabi comments, she's right. We need to get rid of it. "If that thing could survive Armins blast, then the only thing left to do is to take down Eren." Levi says. That's it then, Eren must die.

A hiss of steam sounds from the parasite, and we look down to see it spewing some sort of mist out of its body. The fog drifts up to us and I try my best not to breathe too much of it in. "Did it die?" Mikasa asks. "No. This isn't the smell of a dead titan." Conny says, his eyes widen. "Could this be- the same gas they used on Ragako village?" My stomach drops. "No. It can't be." I say in disbelief.

Levi shouts something at Pieck and Mikasa but I don't hear. My body is in shock. This is truly my last moment alive, any second now I'm going to turn titan and there will be no going back. I look out at the horizon and see Reiner still dragging his body towards Eren. My heart breaks, he has no idea what is happening behind him right now. I am going to die and he doesn't even know.

I feel arms wrap around me, squeezing tight. I look to see Pieck, her eyes filled with horror.

"I love you! Do you hear me?! I love you Y/N." she screams, tears dampening her cheeks. "Piecky." I breathe, in shock. Wanting, needing more time to say something else, but there is none. She's gone just as soon as she came and I'm left alone. I look back out to the horizon and feel myself become desperate for one last look from Reiner, one last moment where it's just him and I.

"REINER!!" I yell as loud as I can out to him. The smoke billows up as Falco, Mikasa, Pieck and Levi fly towards Eren. I cup my hands around my mouth and scream again. "REINER!!!" I feel a hand on my shoulder, I look behind me and see Conny, his other arm wrapped around Jean.

"No - this can't be happening. We have to stop this!" I plead. Where's my dad? I look around but can't see him past the thick fog surrounding us. I yell for Reiner one more time and I see him turn his head slightly, looking towards me. He stops in his tracks as he notices the steam coming out of the parasites body. I reach my hand out, as if to touch him one last time. Tears falling down my face, I see the moment he realizes what's coming. The last thing I hear before being plunged into darkness is the booming sound of Reiners scream.
