"dude, gunil is definitely crushing on you" jungsu chuckled, taking a sip out of his capri sun while he watched jiseok eat his food. "yeah, but still.."
the thing was, jiseok couldn't really tell whether he liked gunil or not. he thought of him as very attractive ever since he got on this school, but he never thought of it as love.
jiseok didn't even know how gunil was like, except from what jungsu told him. and apparently, gunil was the nicest human being on earth.
he always helped people out, he was working a mini-job to donate half of the money to poorer countries, to help with the education.
gunil helped the teacher once he needed help, but not in a teacher's pet way, but because he saw them as humans, too, who just needed help with something sometimes.
he was too generous and naive, though, often acting selfless just so others could shine. apparently, gunil and two other students had to work on a presentation once.
even though gunil had done everything on his own, he gave them more amount of speech than himself, ending up receiving the badder grade despite doing everything alone.
jiseok was actually pretty sure that gunil did not like him. why should he? that would be so random.
"jungsu, just because we're queer doesn't mean that the whole school is, too.." jiseok mumbled, sighing. the whole school knew about their sexualities.
jungsu proudly outed himself, not caring about anyone's opinions, even though he usually had to go through bullying.
the younger was accidentally outed when jiseok and another friend of his were writing notes in class. but the teacher saw, snatched the note and read it out.
"dude am i just 2 gay or why is jooyeon from class 1-1 fine asf??"
it was the most embarrassing week in jiseok's life. but it surprised no one, everyone was already assuming that he wasn't straight due to him only wearing baby tee's and crop tops.
jungsu rolled his eyes with a laugh. "come on, ji, look at him!" he remarked with a grin. "that is an at least bi man, i'm telling you. this man is too nice to be straight!"
he had a point, but jiseok was still in denial. "nah man, you're just making me more delusional."
the elder laughed, tossing away the empty capri sun. "whatever. you wanted to show me the new muse cassette?"
[...]
"and where do you live now?" jooyeon asked, still not believing that he was talking to his childhood best friend.
hyeongjun himself was too happy to believe it, smiling brightly, as he didn't expect jooyeon to visit this exact school.
"not far away from you" he replied with a subtle smile, taking his time to analyse his friend for the nth time.
hyeongjun grew up to be a tall and handsome boy with an immaculate way of presenting himself.
jooyeon didn't know if he was just hyped to see him, but there was definitely something that made his heart race.
he never thought that his friend would be the type to wear skirts, but he looked amazing in the denim one he wore.
"you should come to my place" he then offered hyeongjun, nodding towards the way they'd have to take.
hyeongjun approved of this idea. "yeah, sure. i'm pretty sure your parents won't recognize me anymore."
both of them laughed. the elder changed a lot in his appearance, growing taller than anyone expected, his facial features rather sharp, not so childlike and kind anymore.
jooyeon immediately recognized hyeongjun as soon as he walked into that damn school. of course he did, hyeongjun was the best friend he ever had.
so far, jooyeon had no friends at school. no one really talked to him and he didn't want to approach anyone else.
with hyeongjun transferring to their school, jooyeon didn't have to be lonely anymore.
as expected, jooyeon's parents didn't know who hyeongjun was at first, just when their son told them, they were filled with euphoria.
"oh hyeongjun, look at you!" his mother screeched as she pulled the tall boy in a hug. "what a coincidence that you're going to the same school as our joo again"
hyeongjun nodded, politely, smiling brightly. "i was surprised, as well... it's so nice to see you, mrs lee, you look beautiful"
the woman just laughed, patting the boy's shoulder. "as polite as you always were. jesus, you look so different with tan"
his cheeks reddened as he chuckled, looking away and sending help signals to jooyeon. the younger laughed at him, taking his hand as he gently pulled him away from his mother.
"geez, mom, do you love dad or him? i never heard you talk about dad like that." his mother just smacked the back of his head with a chuckle.
"whatever. i'll cook you guys something, still didn't get the opportunity to. i forgot, do you have any allergies?"
hyeongjun shook his head. "no, but i'm a vegetarian." his mother gasped, immediately putting the meat back in the freezer.
"oh, good to know! i'll make you guys some tofu stew, alright?" as both of them agreed, they went upstairs to jooyeon's room.
