jiseok stood in front of the house of hyeongjun, his gig bag around the shoulder. "is this the right house?" he thought and prayed that he remembered the address correctly.
a woman opened the door, smiling at the boy. "you must be jiseok..?" she asked, leaning onto the opened door. she very much reminded him of hyeongjun. adorable that her son turned out to look exactly like her.
jiseok nodded, nervously playing with his fingers. "uh- yeah. is hyeongjun ready?" some fast steps were audible, right before the boy was standing next to his mother.
flashing the same bunny smile as his mother, he waved him inside. "i hope this wont be too awkward" the younger laughed as he watched jiseok take off his shoes, before leading him to his room.
it was small but cozy, not yet fully built, some furniture still being in boxes. the many decorations and posters made his room seem more lively, to which jiseok smiled.
"your room is cool" he admitted, looking at the fairy lights hanging above his bed. sitting down on the bed, jiseok unzipped the bag and took out his acoustic guitar, watching hyeongjun plugging his guitar.
"i've already thought of a title" hyeongjun excitedly explained him, searching for the paper where he already started with the lyrics.
hyeongjun was responsible for the lyrics, while jiseok would adapt the instrumental to the written words.
"what do you think of 'paranoid'?"
he gave jiseok the paper, feeling nervous as the boy read through the lyrics. jiseok nodded, a small smile on his lips.
"it's good. do you want this to be more rock-ish or more like a ballad?" jiseok played some chords that could fit, giving hyeongjun some moments to think.
they both then agreed that a mix of both would be perfect. and then it got quiet, the strumming of jiseok's guitar being the only sounds that disturbed the silence.
then hyeongjun thought of something. "what happened between you and gunil? our whole grade is talking about you two... if you wanna tell me, of course.."
of course he would get asked that. but it's not like jiseok disliked hyeongjun. they didn't exactly know each other that well, this being the second time they really actively talked, but something about him made jiseok feel like he could tell him.
not feeling like explaining everything in detail, he just sighed. "well.. we almost had a.. one night stand.. together. but we didn't fuck apparently, but everyone thinks we did and ugh- i hate gunil!"
jiseok was clearly upset, his brows furrowed and- did he tear up? the elder looked away, his eyes glistening. hyeongjun quickly got alarmed, shimmying closer to the boy.
"didn't mean to make you cry, i'm sorry.. i- i shouldn't have asked.."
jiseok just laughed and looked back at hyeongjun, a tear rolling down his face.
so he really was crying. "that's okay... it's not you who made me cry, don't worry. the whole thing is just overwhelming me."
hyeongjun nodded, understanding. he stopped asking questions, knowing that jiseok was not in the right mindset to talk about it yet.
but jiseok talked on his own. "i think everyone in our grade knew that i am crushing on gunil, apparently i'm not very good at hiding that.
and i think gunil knows too. i mean, he's a nice guy but i just can't help but think that he.. i don't know.. took advantage of the fact that i like him to get in bed with me..."
hyeongjun furrowed his brows, confused. he understood why jiseok was thinking that way, he was sure that he'd think the same way. but in that case.
"you two have to talk" he just smiled nicely, putting his hand on jiseok's shoulder. "only that way you'll know why he did what he did."
