*The chapter picks up from that scene where a white light began to emerge from that machine; the process was slowly starting with Leia and Delta facing Specter, who chuckled lightly at the situation*

Specter: "There's nothing you can do now..."

Leia: Says the possessive spirit who has no one left to control...

*Slowly, as Leia began to walk, seemingly passing through Specter as if he wasn't there, she stood in front of that activating machine*

Specter: "Heh... You're wrong about that... as long as I can find a trace of resentment..."

*As it seemed Specter disappeared from the scene, Leia looked up to see that machine slowly starting to activate, Without further options, several of her floral bombs began to appear*

Leia: We have no choice but to destroy it, If it manages to activate it fully, Specter will be able to control all the paradoxes he wants—

Specter: "I believe you've forgotten... there's still one paradox present here..."

*Interrupted by Specter's voice, Leia looking back, believing Specter had disappeared, found him behind Delta, who seemed to have many doubts about the decision to destroy the time machine, and certainly, being a paradox Pokémon too, Specter placed his spectral hands around Delta's head, who slowly seemed to fall into a mental trance, as Specter influenced and controlled her with his resentment*

Specter: "Indeed... you're also a paradox after all... how could you allow this cat to destroy the machine towards your cherished desire... to 'return home'... it's unforgivable..."

!?!?

Leia: Delta, don't listen to him! Try to control yourself! He'll try to use even the slightest bit of resentment you give him!

Delta: I've...been selfish...?

Specter: "Not at all... what's wrong... in claiming what's yours?... That time machine... belongs to you after all... You detest being brought into all this, when you didn't even wish to exist... you were FORCED to exist!"

*In those tense moments, Leia unable to move Delta to react to that possession, trying to shout at her to snap out of it, in Delta's mind, she realized that after all, her existence was a paradox that shouldn't have existed, her memories of that future nothing more than another paradox*

Delta: I... never asked for any of this...

Specter: "Yes... That's right... you're the victim here... Without that machine, you won't be able to return... go towards that light... it calls you..."

*The white light produced by the time machine, indeed she remembered it, its warmth, how she was brought to this world by it. Slowly, Specter enveloped her in that aura of resentment, growing those slight doubts and anger about her helplessness and existence. Delta saw that light, slowly making her believe that destroying that time machine was like destroying her very existence, her origin, the only reason for being in that era, as well as mixed feelings of hatred towards it for bringing her to such responsibility*

Leia: Delta, wake up! This isn't you! You're not—!!!

*In those moments, it was already too late, Specter had consumed Delta's presence by influencing her with that deep resentment. She aimed her blade at Leia as she tried to approach*
