King Shane's POV:

Three Weeks Later:

I watch as my beautiful bride dances elegantly in the large dining hall. One one side of the room, tables aligned with velvet, lit candles and an assortment of food and wine to feast upon. Nobles are gathered in a large number, dancing, chatting and enjoying the extravagant celebration. The first few days since Princess Celeste had come to court, all who had met her spoke highly of her kindness, beauty and grace. It is true, she is a sweet soul. In our short time together, she had toured the castle, and we had spent hours together talking whilst watching the dragons flying in the sky. She wears a light blue dress with a short veil, changing from the longer one she had worn for the ceremony, finding it difficult to dance in. I watch as she twirls again, arm in arm with her ladies whom she'd brought with her to Silvercrest.

Once the musicians slow the song down to switch to another, she curtsies deeply to me, smiling as she meets my face.

Her brown eyes sparkle with delight.

I motion her over.

I watch as she speaks to her ladies briefly before making her way through the crowd over to me, her dress flowing behind her. She sits down beside me upon her own royal chair. Giselle places a kiss upon my cheek.

"How are you, dear?" I ask

"I am very well. I do enjoy dancing although I am quite tired." She says with a sweet smile

"Sit and rest a moment then. The night still has a few more hours until the festivities end." I suggest

She nods, taking her cup in hand and taking a swig.

The peaceful tune of music is cut by shouting.

I look around for the sound.

I listen, hearing it in the far left of the room.

The crowd erupts in shouts and screams at whatever commotion is taking place out of my line of sight. Panic ensues as people scramble to get out of the way. My knights step forward but I hold up a hand.

" Celeste return to your chambers immediately. Do not leave."

She stands quickly exiting with her Knightsman.

I continue to look about, watching just in time for a young man to fly over a table, another man leaping atop him throwing one punch after another. Their argument is intelligible, the two men shouting and hitting one another as the crowd of onlookers shriek, run and gasp. I look back to see Celeste safely exiting the chaos that is erupting. Now, I wave the knights forward. They step away, making their way through the room towards the men. The men pay no mind, smashing dishes upon one another and trading blows until they are physically ripped apart and dragged off.

With the threat secure, I turn my attention back to the crowd.

"Everyone please! Be calm! The commotion has passed!" I call out

It takes a moment for the panic to settle.

Heads slowly turn towards my voice.

Once I have everyone's attention, I continue.

"Please. Be still. If any of you have been injured, call out an a knight will come aid you to the maester's chambers."

I watch as the crowd shifts.

One woman steps forward, her face bloody.

Nose broken.

A few voices call out and more knights spring into action.

I wait for the injured parties to be removed.

"I must conclude today's events. Thank you all for coming to the celebration. May this Union bring peace and prosperity to us all!"

The crowd cheers.

I turn and exit the room, heading for the Queen's chambers.

Once I make certain she is safe, I head for my own.

Today has been the last day in a week long celebration.

Our consummation took place upon the second day when we wed.

Her coronation upon the last day.

It was of course, a learning experience for a maiden such as herself but Celeste enjoyed every aspect, her cries of pleasure ringing through the halls.

Now, it was time for much needed rest.
