His Special Mate

Caine and Lola Pov

CAINE POV

We returned to the pack house after eating breakfast with the girls, it was extremely quiet the whole time before we left, but I know what I have to do to make things right. There's no way I can live without Lola since shes my mate and I really do love her. I'm in charge now so I call the shots, I just have to make sure I know everything about Lola before I let everything out to her. 

"Do you want me to accompany you or can you handle her on your own?" Mace asked me worriedly. 

"It's my mom of course I can handle her on my own. You check up with the doc and see if there's anything else he can tell you about Lola and I'll check back up with you later." I told Mace before heading towards my mom's quarters. 

I made it to my mom's quarters and hesitated before knocking on her door. 

"Caine what are you doing here sweetie, I wasn't expecting you." My mom asked me while trying to block the doorway. 

"Doc what are you doing here?" I asked as I saw doc look between the cracks of the door.

"Oh well... Your mom wanted me to look into a few things for her so I stopped by to show her what I found." He sounded unsure. I hate when someone lies to me and make it noticeable.

"You could've called my mother to your office in your quarters It's inappropriate  for you to be here, so why are you really here, and don't lie to me doc. You know I hate being lied to." 

"Caine stop it. I asked doc for information I can't tell you about because its a surprise for you, but he was just leaving. Doc see your way out." Doc scurried out of my mothers room, I'll have to ask Mace to confront him once he makes it back to the pack hospital. 

"Mother I need to talk to you about this morning."

"Well if you insist. I'd rather not but I can't control who you sleep with, just make sure you're still seeking your mate, you're wasting too much time on that thing and I don't like it."

"What thing?" I asked her growing irritated.

"That black beast I don't under-"

"MOM! Like I told you earlier watch the way that you speak about her."

"Caine don't speak to me like that, i'm your mother, and i'm only telling the truth." 

"You're not telling the truth, you're being spiteful and I won't have that. You need to respect her when you speak about or to her."

"Relax son shes just a fling, why would I have to lower my standards to speak with someone like her. I don't understand why you'd want to sleep with someone like her when there's dozens of pretty omegas here." 

I felt Cam trying to take over and I couldn't hold back anymore. 

"DON'T EVER TALK ABOUT MY MATE LIKE THAT! EVER! YOU WON'T BE THE LUNA FOR LONG AND I WON'T ALLOW YOU TO MAKE HER FEEL OUT OF PLACE WHEN SHE TAKES OVER! EITHER GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER OR BECOME A ROUGE!" I watched as my mom's face turned from scared to shocked. 

"Mate! Become rouge! Caine don't you ever use Cam on me again I am your mother at the end. There's no way in hell that thing is your mate! I won't allow it!"

"It's not about what you will allow, she is whom the moon goddess has given to me and I love her! I've done everything that you've ever asked of me to find my mate and now that I've found her you don't approve like you have a say in who the moon goddess chose for me. I will not stand for you disrespecting her, and yes if you can't come to terms with her being my mate you can run away and become a rogue. This isn't the hardest thing you've had to deal with in life, I'm your son, shouldn't it make you happy that I'm happy?"
