Brooklyn's POV

Standing outside of our cabin door I am a nervous wreck. What if the girl's don't like me? What if they think I'm lame? For God's sake, what if I lose one of them?

And then I see my first camper walk up

"Hi i'm Brooklyn, I'll be your counselor" I say to the girl who just walked up. Still just as nervous as I had been before. "I'm Hannah, the assistant counselor". "Hi I'm Katie," the girl says. "Hey Katie let me show you inside the cabin," Hannah says and then walks Katie inside.

Another girl walks up. "Hey I'm Leighton," she says in the most energetic voice I have ever heard before. "Hi Leighton, I'm brooklyn, you counselor" I say. I show her to where she'll be staying and help her get unpacked.

Throughout the afternoon all of the girls arrive. I have 12 girls total and they're all so nice and sweet. It made me so relieved to know that.

I walk over to the rooms "Okay girls it's time to go to rally". The girls jump off their bunk beds and follow me. We walk to the rally room and laugh and joke the whole way there.

When we go inside they are playing music and we take our seats. 10 minutes later Wesley goes up front. "Welcome to camp Willing" he yells and everyone screams.

"Who's ready for Rally night 1"he says and the kids scream again. I'm sitting on the second row of our cabin's rows next to Hannah and Leighton.

"This year we are doing something special.......a competition against all of the cabins." Everyone in there gets super loud but then quiets down to let Wesley speak again. "When I call your cabin' name I want your cabin to scream to see who can scream the loudest ok!" Wesley says and then calls two guys cabins and they scream as loud as they can

I lean forward so I can talk to my girls. "Yall we have to be the loudest because Cabin Brooklyn does not lose" I whisper to them and they all shake their heads.

Wesley calls "cabin Corbin" and that other guy that sat at our table stood up. His cabin was not very loud.

Then Wesley called the last boys cabin. "Cabin Tanner" A bunch of boys screamed as loud as they could. The guy that looked so familiar stood up, it was his cabin.

My eyes got wide when I heard Tanner. Something in my brain clicked. It was tanner. The tanner. My Tanner
