Chapter 11

Tanner's POV

"Tanner, we can't go swimming. The pools are closed." she says. "They never said it was closed for the counselors and plus it's an indoor pool no one will ever see us." I say

She rolls her eyes and chuckles. I pull at the door. "It's open" I say. I walk in the door still holding her hand and we go into the pool room.

"Come on" I say running towards the pool, taking my shirt off and doing a cannonball. "You are something else. Tanner" she says then pulls off her shirt revealing her gorgeous body then jumps in after.

"Wanna see something cool" she says. Brooklyn does a handstand in the water, she comes back up. "Wow, I never knew you did gymnastics," I say. "I didn't, I just know how to do that" she laughed.

We floated around in a circle facing each other. "So does your cabin behave well?" she asked me. "I mean for a group of teen boys I would say so, what about yours?" "I guess so, most of the time. They can get a little crazy".

"I know what you're saying, Leighton can be a handful and for that matter so can Ryleigh". "How is Riley?"she asks. "She's good She's going into her senior year and is playing volleyball and soccer and got a scholarship to play volleyball"I say

"That's so awesome. Where?" she asks. "TCU, so she will be far away from home next year". "I'll bet you'll miss her like crazy" "Shut up" I say splashing water towards her face.

"Oh you wanna play that game" she stays and splashes water back. I splash more back at her and she does the same. I grab her and pick her up and take her out of the pool.

"Tanner! Tanner! Put me down" she says playfully but I run carrying her to the end of the pool and jump in. "ahhhhh" she screams.

"Bitch" she says splashing water back in my face. We get closer, my hands on the back of her still holding her.

"Uh we should get going," she says, pulling away from me. "I don't want to get busted and the pool is opening soon". She climbs back out of the water.

Maybe she didn't feel the same way about me.
Oh who am I kidding of course she didn't.

Why would she?

I'm just her childhood best friend.

And would never be more.

"That was so much fun" Brooklyn said walking out the door of the pool room. "What do you want to do next?" I ask her.

"Hmm, I want to do something that I have a chance to beat your ass at so maybe...ping pong". "Of course you would say that, I don't want to play that ''. "Why cause you're scared I'll beat you".

Now I have to play. We walked into the game room and played. Sure enough she beat me. Of course she beat me. I knew she would.

"What now?" I ask. "Let's go get changed and then get some food. I'm starving because someone made me skip breakfast ""I didn't make you do anything" I say holding up my hands to look innocent.

"I'll be right back" I say when we get to her cabin. I go to my cabin and walk in. No one is in there, it's empty. I go into my room, grab a pair of shorts and a new t-shirt and change.

I walk back over to Brooklyn's cabin and sit on the couch to wait for her to get changed. She walks back out in one of those tank tops that make her tits look amazing. I have to straighten my eyes back up before she catches me.

"You ready?" I ask, standing up. "Yeah lets go" We open the door and you'll never guess who is walking up the steps. Leighton off course.

"OMG, what were you doing in our cabin?" she says. "None of your business" I tell her. "Does none of my business include my counselor" she raises her eyebrows and gives me one of her looks.

" if so it's my business". "Jesus Leighton get a grip"I say and then me and Brooklyn walk off towards the mess hall. "You never answered my question"she yells back at us.

"Hey I'm tired, do you mind If I take a nap before tonight" she says walking back to her cabin after lunch. "I don't mind, I know you said you didn't sleep well." I say.

I go to walk away but she says. "You can stay if you want".
