Tanners POV
She always knew how to make me smile and push my buttons at the same time. That's what I like about her. I thought to myself walking back to my cabin.
I walked into the rally room for tonight's rally. I looked for Brooklyn but she's not here yet.
I looked over towards the door she and her cabin walked in. Her hair was in a braid still wet from the pool and she was wearing a t-shirt and shorts with converse. Her shorts were tight to her and short. Her ass looked so good.
At the rally the kids danced and played games and did little competitions but I wasn't paying attention. At least not to them. I was paying attention to Brooklyn. I couldn't stop looking at her.
At dinner I walked over to her table and sat down. "Ohhhhhh Brooklyn has a boyfriend" The girls started giggling. "He is not my boyfriend," Brooklyn said to them. "Keep telling yourself that," one girl said.
"Brooklyn and Tanner sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G" the girls chanted. "You" I pointed at Leighton. "You better shut up" I threw the napkin I had in my hand at her. "When I get home I'm telling mom" she said. I stuck my tongue out at her.
Both my sisters get on my nerves, Leighton more than Ryleigh but they both do. Ryleigh is 18 and in her senior year of high school . She plays volleyball and soccer and got a scholarship for volleyball. She keeps to herself most of the time. But Leighton on the other hand is a ball of fire. She is 14 but acts like she's 5 sometimes. She is the biggest tattle tale known to man. But I love them.
Brooklyn laughed when I stuck my tongue out at Leighton. "You better watch out, she'll get you" she said to me. "I know, she's crazy one time she chased me around the kitchen with a knife." I told her. "What?" Brooklyn said with the most terrified look on her face. "Yep" I said. "In my defense he pushed me down the stairs" Leighton told her. "You did not" she said and looked at me with a shocked face. "It was an accident," I said, holding my hands up to look innocent. "Ah Huh, sure it was an accident," Leighton said.
______________
"Okay guys today is the last game we need to fight hard and win. Our only competition is Brooklyn's cabin and we need to beat them." I told my boys the next morning.
"You just want to win to impress Brooklyn," Hunter said. "Yeah you have a crush on the counselor," Braydon said.
"No, I just want to beat my sister," I lied. I did want to win because of Brooklyn. Me and Brooklyn have always been super competitive. When we were 5 we played on a soccer team and one time she broke her arm trying to push me out of the way to beat me. But I didn't want to win to impress her. I mean sure I had a little crush on her when we were young.Okay maybe it wasn't a little crush but still. I hardly know Brooklyn anymore. She's hot.... And I like the way that she talks to me........and I like how she's bossy.
Okay maybe I might have a slight crush on Brooklyn again but what's the point she doesn't even remember me. I'm not as important to her as she was to me. I was just her neighbor when we were little.
Anyways Tanner stay focused.
I sat down next to Brooklyn waiting to play our next game. We have already played against 2 other teams and won and so has Brooklyn we are neck and neck. But they won't tell us who wins the whole competition until Sunday night at the week 1 rally.
"You ready to lose Tanner" Brooklyn said to me.
She had her arms crossed where I got a good view of her cleavage in the tank top she was wearing."You are," I said back. "Just so you know, I'm the queen at ping pong so you're going down." "I'm sure you've never played ping pong a day in your life". "I have never lost a game". "Sure yeah right"
I knew that Brooklyn was good at ping pong when we came to camp here. She won the ping pong championship every year.
I was pretty nervous. "Brooklyn and Tanner" Wesley called. This was a counselor only game 1v1. "You ready?" I asked. "Oh please, I could beat you in my sleep" she said and then we stood up and grabbed our paddles.
We played a pretty even game I think so either of us could win.
Me and Brooklyn walked to the mess hall for dinner after talking while we watched our campers play a game of volleyball.
"So what's your favorite color?" she asked me. "What?" "What's your favorite color?" she asked again. "Why do you want to know, that's so random." "Oh my god just tell me what your favorite color is" she said in that bossy tone. "Blue" I said. "That's so basic, but why?" I didn't want to tell her that it's my favorite color because it was hers when we were little and it's the color of her eyes so I settled with "I guess because of the ocean"
"Okay" she said. "What's your favorite color?" I asked. "Why should I tell you" "because it's only fair that if you ask me a question that I get to ask you one". "Pink," she said. "Why?" "Because I like the color pink," she laughed. After dinner we went our separate ways for the night, I went back to my cabin and she went back to hers.
