Chapter 18

Brooklyns POV

I wake up to the sound of plundering. I look over to see Ryleigh looking through her dresser drawers. "Sorry I didn't mean to wake you, I was just trying to find an outfit for school."

"Oh no you're good" I say. I reach over to the nightstand to grab my phone. It was 6:30, about an hour earlier than I normally get up. I like to get up around 7:30 ish and then head to the gym, get ready and go to work at 9.

I work most weekdays but have the weekends off and occasionally have mondays off. But overall I love my job. But thank god I don't have to go today.

"I'll see you later Brooklyn" Ryleigh said coming out of the bathroom and putting on her shoes. "Bye I hope you have a good day at school" I told her.

Tanner had to go into the station this morning at 4am and he's going to be back at 10 today because he only took a half a shift so he could spend time with me today.

I decided that I wanted to spend my time alone sleeping a little bit longer. I slept until 9 which surprised me because I wasn't that tired.

I got up and headed into the bathroom. I got dressed, did my makeup and did my hair. By then it was time for Tanner to get home.

I heard the front door open and immediately ran downstairs. Tanner was coming in the door. I ran into his arms and kissed him.

"Sorry, I'm a little sweaty from my workout this morning," Tanner told me. "Does it look like I care", I say and Tanner laughed and went back to kissing me.

"So what do you want for the rest of the day?" Tanner asks me sitting on the couch. "I don't know but I am kind of hungry" I tell him. "Okay we can go out to eat and then go out on the boat."

"Sounds lovely," I say, landing a kiss on his lips.

"Oh my god that was so good" I say getting back into the bronco. "Yeah It is one of my favorite lunch places," Tanner tells me. We talk about our favorite places to eat and then we arrive at the boat dock.

We stayed out on the boat until sunset which was a while but with Tanner it always feels like never enough time.

He pulls into the driveway of his house and we walk in. "Is anyone here?" I ask. "Nope my parents went out for dinner, Leighton's spending the night at her friends house and Ryleigh has a late night soccer practice and tutoring" He says smiling at me.

We go upstairs into his room. I look up at the stars in the skylight, they are so beautiful. "What do you want to do?" I ask tanner.

Tanner grabs the side of my head, turns it towards him and kisses me. He kisses me down my neck. I pull his head back up and kiss him.

I move my hands to the bottom of his shirt, pulling it up and over him revealing his sculpted abs and his tattoos.

He removes my shirt and my jeans. He takes off his jeans and then moves back over to me. He lays me down on the bed. "You sure?" He asks. "Oh I'm sure," I responded.
