Tanners POV
"I don't know what I am going to do without you" I say, running a hand through Brooklyn's hair. I think it's around 8pm and sitting beside Brooklyn our bare bodies wound up in the sheets all I can think about is how she won't be here this time tomorrow or this time next week.
"Hey, but we made it through the first month just FaceTiming" she says. "Yeah but we weren't official then" I say jokingly. "We've got this" she says and tilts her head up to give me a kiss.
"Now I should probably go to bed because I have to get up early tomorrow" she say starting to pull the sheets away. "No stay" I say making sure to drag it out to sound desperate.
"I don't want your parents or your sister to think we're I've been" she says acting guilty. "Either way I think that they already have a pretty good idea of where you are" I say. She laughs but continues to stand up and walk over to her clothes on the floor. Damn she looks hot.
"I'm going to take a shower" she says walking into my bathroom. I hear the water come on and then decide to take a shower myself. I walk over and walk into the bathroom shutting the door behind me.
"Can't get away from you for five minutes," she says, rolling her eyes at me. "Nope I say getting into the shower to join her. "What are you doing?" She asks me. "I need to take a shower too" I say a she just shakes her head. "And plus I thought why not get the best out of the last night together" I say smiling.
"It's not the last night Tanner, don't say that" she says turning around to face me. "I'm sorry, last night for a while" I corrected myself.
I kiss her again and we get lost in ourselves yet again.
_______________
I hear a knock on my door and my eyes squint open. Brooklyn walks in closing the door behind her. "Good morning" she says brightly crawling onto the bed straddling me. "Morning sweetheart" I say, giving her a kiss good morning. I stop "sorry morning breath" I say pulling away and covering my mouth and didn't even think about that before I kissed her. "Does it look like I care?" she says and then leans in again, kissing me.
"So did you want to take me to the airport or should I take an Uber?"she asked me. "No way am I going to give up those 10 extra minutes with you on the drive to the airport" I say. "Just give me a minute" I say. Brooklyn stands up and walks over to the door. "Hurry up I'll be waiting" she says and when she walks out the door I swear wind came from somewhere and her hair blew like it does in movies.
I quickly throw on a t-shirt and shorts, a pair of tennis shoes and my hat before walking out my door and heading downstairs to find Brooklyn.
I find her sitting on the couch in the living room. Her bag by the front door. "You ready" I ask her and she shakes her head yes but not in a happy way.
We head out to the bronco and surprisingly the 10 minute ride we sat in silence but it wasn't an awkward kind of silence it was the silence that you were talking to each other without talking to each other.
I pull the car to a stop and look at Brooklyn, the saddest look on her face. I get out of the car and walk get to open her door. "Hey come here" I say, holding out my arms and she goes into them wrapping her legs around my waist and her hands around my neck.
"I'm going to miss you, jerk" she says into my shoulder. "I'm going to miss you more sweetheart" I say, squeezing her a little tighter. "We can do this long distance thing" I assure her even though I don't think I'm even convinced of this.
We kiss one last time and I gently set her down and grab her bag out of the backseat. I watched her as she walked to the front entrance of the airport and I knew then that I had fallen in love with the girl who moved away 15 years ago.
