Brooklyn's POV
Today the challenge was a three legged race. And unlike yesterday, today I was going to win.
And I was right we beat Tanner's team. So hopefully we would be in first place.
At dinner my cabin walked over to see the places. "Yes we did it girls, only two more games left" I said and gave them high fives. Tanners team walked up beside us. "Good job today but that was an easy game,"Tanner said to me. "You're just mad that you lost and we won." I said. "I'm not mad, you're mad because you know that we are going to beat you for the whole competition" he said.
"Imagine losing," Leighton said to Tanner walking over towards us. "You're going to be the one to lose," Tanner said to her. "Girls are better so we're going to win," she said back. "Sure, whatever," Tanner said to her
I was so confused, "how do you two know each other?" I asked, pointing at them. "Leighton's my little sister" tanner said and rubbed her head, making her hair frizzy. "What I did not know," I said. "Yeah sadly, Tanner is related to me, but as you can tell I got the pretty genes." Leighton said.
"Hey" Tanner yelled and then picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "Put me down Tanner" Leighton said and started kicking her legs. Tanner put her down. "You see what I have to deal with," she said, frowning.
Then it clicked in my head. Tanner and leighton. Leighton was Tanner's little sister and was 14. When I moved 15 years ago Tanner's mom Ms.Kaiten was pregnant with a girl.
It was him. It was my best friend tanner. The boy I was obsessed with for the first 8 years of my life.
The next day was the water game day. We were playing volleyball in the pool. After this game would be our last.
Me and the girls got into our bathing suits and went out to the pool.
We played our first game and won. "Team tanner and Team Brooklyn" Wesley called our names.
I watched Tanner take off his shirt and get into the pool. It was like watching a commercial in slow motion. His rock hard abs, his tattoos that ran across his chest and on to his big biceps. And those back muscles. Fuck.
Brookly stop keep your head in the game you are here to win.
I finally got my head off of Tanner and back to volleyball we started off pretty good but didn't do so good toward the end. We lost. Which meant Tanner was back in first place.
I got out of the pool and grabbed my towel. On the way back to the cabin. Tanner walked beside me. "Hey good job today you still have tomorrow."
"Wow thanks," I said. I was stunned to say the least. "To loseeeee" he said. "Of course Tanner can't be nice just for once." I reached over and pushed him. He was still not wearing a shirt and those biceps felt as good as they looked.
"See ya later" he said when we got to my cabin. "Be ready to see my name in first place tonight" He said. I rolled my eyes. He smiled.

I am so sorry that these chapters are so short. I wrote this book a while ago and I have definitely improved on my next book that I am writing. Which I will start releasing once I finish publishing this one.
Please don't be afraid to comment and give me your input or thoughts on the book.
Always check my Instagram. I post on there sometimes but I can be pretty busy with school and sports.
