Tanners POV

Man she does something to me that makes me feel that I lost everything I know. Like nothing else in the world matters except the moment we are in.

"May I" she says holding up the polaroid camera. "We have too" I say smiling as she holds up the camera. I pull her in closer and place a kiss on her cheek. The bright light flashes and the photo comes out.

Brooklyn takes it and looks down. "Here you can have it," she says. "But I want one too," she adds. We take another picture and she keeps that one tucking it in her back pocket.

I pull my phone out of my pocket, remove the phone case and put the picture in it. "There now I can have us everywhere" I say.

We walk back to the house, the beach almost completely dark by then and I'm sure it's been an hour and my mom is probably waiting for us to come to dinner.

I open the door for Brooklyn and we go into the kitchen.

"Well I'll be damned is that Brooklyn Sandburg I see" My dad says walking into the kitchen after coming home from work.

"In the flesh, Hey Mr.Kaiten" Brooklyn says and then gives him a hug.

______________

"How long have you been dating?" My dad asks the dreaded question. We have not talked about what we are. I guess you could just say we are in the talking stage.

"Uhhh" Brooklyn says,I can tell she doesn't know what to say. "Well dad we aren't really dating" I say.

"Oh well how long have you been seeing each other" he reasks. "Since the end of camp, so about a little over a month" Brooklyn tells him.

"How's your folks?" my dad asks Brooklyn. "They're doing good, my moms still working as a nurse and my dad's company is doing good," She says.

"Your brother?" he asks her another question. I swear my dad is just full of questions tonight. "Well he took a gap year after he graduated college and is now in school studying to become a doctor and he's marrying one of my best friends this winter.

"Oh how nice" my mother says. Her and the girls have been quiet all evening because they can hardly get a word out with how many questions my dad is asking.

"Yeah I'm proud of him," Brooklyn says.

"How about you sweetie, what do you do? Do you still live in Georgia" my mom asks Brooklyn.

"Yes I still live in Atlanta and I went to cosmetology school". "That's amazing" my mom says.

I put my arm around Brooklyn. "Brooklyn is a hairstylist for one of the top beauty businesses in Georgia" I tell my family.

"Oh my god that's so cool. Which one?" Leighton asks. At this point I had completely forgotten about Leighton and Ryleigh because usually they won't ever shut up.

"At the Warren of Georgia" Brooklyn tells her. "Shut up, are you joking?" Ryleigh exclaimed. "No, have you heard of it?" Brooklyn asks her.

"I've seen tons of videos and reviews from there. It looks so cool I've always wanted to get my hair done by one of their stylists" Ryleigh tells her.

"If you want I could get you in and you could come stay with me in Atlanta sometime" Brooklyn tells her. "Holy shit, of course" Leighton says about jumping out of her seat of excitement.

"Young lady we are at the dinner table Language" My mom tells her. "Sorry" Ryleigh says. Leighton laughs and then Ryleigh punches her in the side. "Shut up" Ryleigh says.

I look over and my mom is rolling her eyes and Brooklyn is smiling. I think I even saw her giggle a little bit. My dad is too busy eating to even notice.

I look at Brooklyn. "May we be excused" I ask my mom. "Sure" she replies. Me and Brooklyn stand up and walk up the stairs and into my room.

We lay down on my bed. I put my arm around her and hold her as she lays her head on my chest.

"So uh..you said that we weren't dating" she says quietly. "I just told them that so they would back off" I say. "Are we dating?".

"If you want us to be". "What would you say if I told you I did," she says.

"I would say" I turn over on my side and so does she. I look straight into her beautiful blue eyes. "You're my Girlfriend then " I say.

She smiles ear to ear and then kisses me.
