Tanner's POV

Wesley called my cabin and we had been so loud that I don't think any of the girls could beat us. I was so proud of them. We were definitely going to win this competition.

They started calling the girls names. And they were nowhere near as loud as we were so we had the win. But there was one more Cabin left.

Wesley called "Team Brooklyn". The counselor that I sat with last night that looked and seemed odd and familiar stood up. Her cabin was just as loud as ours, I don't know who won.

My heart stopped. Brooklyn. It couldn't be. Not my Brooklyn.

I would have noticed my Brooklyn. But then I thought about it. It had been 15 years....15 years since she left. Could it be her.

An hour later the Rally ended and it was time for dinner. In the mess hall my table was across the room from Brooklyns. So I had to Raise my head up to look at her. I still couldn't decide if it was her or not. It couldn't be though. I was going crazy.

I was laying in the camp bed about to go to sleep. They were not very comfortable but that's not what I was thinking about. I was reminiscing on the day's when Brooklyn was in my life. How perfect it was and how simple life seemed. I remember going with her and feeling free at this camp.

I heard my alarm go off. The dreaded sound was 7:30 and breakfast was at 8 so I had to wake the boys up. I walked over to their rooms and turned the light on.

"Tannnnerrrrr" Luke whined. "Turn it off," Caleb said. They boys put their blankets and their pillows over their heads. "Breakfast is in 30 minutes and If you're not up and ready in 20 you're not getting breakfast" I told them.

I think that motivated them a little bit because some of them started getting out of bed and getting dressed.

This was my 3rd year being a counselor here and my least favorite part was waking the boys up. I think it's partly because it means I have to get up and I am definitely not a morning person.

At the mess hall I grabbed my food and went to go make coffee. I grabbed a cream and started stirring it in my coffee. "You drink coffee" Brooklyn said, waking up beside me to make herself a cup of coffee.

"Why are you so surprised," I asked her. I still can not stop thinking about her. I don't know if it's her or not. I think so but what if I ask her and she's not that would be awkward. "I'm not surprised you drink coffee, I'm surprised because you don't drink it black. I thought you looked tougher than that but guess not." she said. "Guess not" I say and then grab my coffee and go sit down.

"I saw you talking to that counselor again. You into her or something." Corbin had walked over and sat beside me. I was still thinking about her. "Tanner. Hello. You there, "Corbin said over and over again. "Huh oh sorry, what were you saying?" Corbin chuckled. "Bro you must be crushing big time".

"What no I am not" I say. "Whatever you say man" Corbin says and then gets up and walks back over to his table.

I wasn't crushing on her. At Least not now. Not anymore. But it's not her that can't be her.
