Brooklyn's POV

Walking in I got the feeling that I always got as a kid coming here.

The feeling of home, comfort and happiness, the feeling of fun.

I was back at Camp Willing. I went here from when I was 5 until I was 8. I loved how the atmosphere felt. Like that someone cared about you.

But this time I wasn't here as a camper. I was here to make other young girls feel the way I felt coming here.

I walked up to my cabin that I would be staying in. I opened the door and joy rushed inside me. The kind of joy that makes you feel like a kid again.

There were 3 bedrooms, 2 with 3 bunk beds inside both. The other room was my room, or atleast the room that I would be sharing with my assistant counselor.

I haven't met her yet so I can only hope that she will be at least decent so that I won't be stuck with some annoying lady.

There was a tiny kitchenette and a big living room filled with couches and beanbags. And my favorite part, no tv.

Don't get me wrong, I love tv. Especially movies. But something about 2 weeks with no tv was nice.

"Hey" a voice said coming from the front door. I turned around and walked over. "Hi, I'm Brooklyn, you must be my assistant counselor." I said. "Hello, yes I am, My name is Hannah" she said and went in for a hug.

One thing about me is that I love hugs.

I hugged her back and gave her a tight squeeze. "I'm so excited to be a counselor, I was a camper here when I was younger" she told me.

"Me too, Is this your first time being a counselor here?" I asked her. "Yes, and I'm so nervous about it, you?"

"This is my first time too," I said.

"We are going to have so much fun!" she said and then we grabbed our luggage and put it into our room and started unpacking.

"I wonder if there will be any cute guy counselors," Hannah said, giving me a nudge on the shoulder and winking at me.

"Oh please they will probably be those ugly vegan granola boys that are obsessed with saving the turtles," I said and we both started laughing.

We were walking to the Staff meeting to meet everyone and go over basic ground rules and safety. I walked into the Rally room, which is where we hold all of our rally's at.

There are about 6 girl's cabin's and 4 boys cabins. So there are way more girls than there are guys. Me and Hannah sit in the third row of the seats, which is the back row because they only had a few seats out.

"Hello Everyone" Wesley said, He was our camp leader and had owned the camp with his wife Heather since 1999.

Wesley did the whole spiel about how you need to apply sunscreen and bug spray and keep your eyes on your kids at all times.

Finally, about an hour later Wesley says "Thank you guys for choosing to be a Counselor at Willing and I hope that we have a great two weeks ahead of us. Dinner will be served in the mess hall".

"Thank god, I was so bored I was about to claw my eyeballs out" I said to Hannah. "I know same, I never thought something could be so boring."

I walked into the mess hall and walked up and grabbed my food. Tonight was spaghetti and Meatballs. For camp food their food was really good and I actually enjoyed it.

"Hello ladies" two guys said and sat down across from me and Hannah at our picnic table.

"Hey" I replied. Rolling my eyes I could tell by looking at the one in front of me was a pain in the ass. Yet he looked......weird. Something about him looked familiar. Like I've seen him before but he's probably just one of those people with familiar faces.

He wasn't ugly don't get me wrong he was pretty nice looking. He had light brunette hair and wore a t-shirt with Camp Willing written across it in faded letters.

"Are you guys counselors?" The other guy asks us. "No campers" I say in a prissy way and sit up straighter.

"This one's feisty." The guy in front of me is pointing at me with his finger, his cookie in hand.

"Well we better get going" Hannah says and then stands up and I follow.

We walk out of the mess hall and start off towards our cabins. "What did I Tell you, I knew there would be hot counselors." Hannah says with a sly smile. "Oh please, I know that type he's hot with a hot ego and temper," I say.

"So you agree you think he's hot" Hannah smiles and raises an eyebrow. I chuckle "shut up" I say and roll my eyes.

"Can you believe this time tomorrow this cabin will be filled with teenage girls." Hannah says sipping her tea while we sit at the couch. "I really don't know how we are going to handle it," I say. "We've got this" Hannah holds her hand up to give me a high five.
