Chapter 12 - Second Chance

Before we begin I'd like to say something; some of the league is aged down.

Twice: 17
Dabi: 24
Tomura: 21
Toga: 16
Spinner: 17
Magne: 20
Mr. Compress: 19 (acts older than all of them)

Now onto the story!

Waking up in a hospital room was not what I had expected after the fight with All For One.

Basically as we were getting the league to safety All For One shot a blast at All Might and a piece of debris hit me on the back of the head.

Now I sat up groaning as the bright lights blinded me. "Fucking hell" I mumbled.

"You're awake!" I heard a slightly scratchy voice gasp from beside me. I looked over and saw Himiko Toga in the hospital bed next to mine.

The blonde girl had some bandages on her right arm and a couple of scratches but otherwise she looked completely fine. Well almost.

She wanted to hug me, I could tell, but her wrists were chained to the hospital bed and she generally seemed in pain.

"Hey Himiko" I said softly, slowly and carefully standing up to sit next to the villain girl.

She immediately laid her head on my chest when I sat next to her, seemingly looking for a source of comfort. She was terrified.

"You'll be okay Himiko. All of you will" I assured her, brushing some hair from her face. Suddenly it felt like she was my little sister.

"Tomura hasn't woken up yet...Dabi wouldn't leave his side so they threw him in jail even though the hospital staff protested against it." She explained, her hands shaking. I slid my hand up the back of her hospital gown and begin to rub circles on her skin, soothing her.

I sighed heavily. "Nezu will help you all, I know he will. Hawks too, I promise" I didn't fully trust the heroes, but I did trust Hawks, and Nezu hadn't given me a reason to not trust him.

We sat like that for a while until the exact blonde haired man we had been talking about entered the room.

Immediately he rushed to Himiko's bed where we both sat, and he pulled me into an unbearably tight hug.

"Kei...need to breathe" I struggled out, chuckling as he let go and apologized, only to hug me again.

"God baby bird don't scare me like that" he whispered, softly kissing the side of my head which made me blush like crazy.

After a bit more of continued scolding from the hero, increasingly annoyed apologies from me, and the nurses coming and going, everything had calmed down.

Until a police officer walked in. "Himiko Toga and Cheshire Cat I am ordered to bring you to a secured room so that the heroes can speak to you." He said softly, gesturing for me to get off the bed so he could remove the handcuffs on Himiko.

We walked silently to the room where I saw Dabi, Twice, Spinner, Magne, and Compress all pacing back and forth.

Upon seeing us Twice sprinted over and engulfed Himiko in the biggest hug possible, letting her sob into his shoulder.

Dabi walked over to me and just let his forehead fall on my shoulder with a heavy sigh. I began to run my clawed fingers through his hair gently in an attempt to soothe him.

The others all took a seat at a table where we joined them, Principle Nezu walking in on the other side of some glass.

"Well, I told them I didn't need this but clearly they didn't listen" he sighed to himself, before literally walking back out and then re-entering though the door on our side with a smile. I couldn't help but laugh.

"You all know about what we have been doing with Cheshire I assume?" He asked, watching as everyone nodded. "Well we plan to do the same with you all. Himiko Toga will join Cheshire in class 1A, and Twice and Spinner may join class 2A. As for you adults, we were informed that Mr. Compress taught you all math to help keep you guys educated so we'd like to offer that he student teach with Ectoplasm, the math teacher at UA. For Magne, Dabi, and of course Tomura we will speak to you all and find out what you want to do next job wise."

The entire league was stunned, minus me of course. Himiko looked excited as she bounced on the balls of her feet while Twice nodded, his mask still on.

The others also agreed and we were soon sent back to our hospital rooms, though no one chained Himiko down this time.

"Maybe being a hero won't be so bad" I said to myself that night as I looked out at the stars. I had been refusing to turn good since I was captured, but now that the league was with me? Maybe I could try and actually be a hero.

Maybe redemption isn't all that bad
