Adoring You: Adrinette April

{16. What If?}

Marinette's class had been talking about different what if scenarios for one of their lessons as it made her curious of a what if scenario of her own and she was currently sat on the rooftop while as her alter ego, Ladybug, along with Chat Noir. Once they finished their nightly patrol, they would always sit on the rooftop as they talked to each other about various things before they headed home and today Ladybug decided to bring up her what if scenario to her partner.

"Hey Chat. I have a question to ask you. What if we weren't superheroes? What would you be doing?" Ladybug said to her partner as Chat thought for a moment since he wasn't really too sure on what he'd be doing if he wasn't a superhero and he couldn't think of anything at all. All he knew was that he would've never met Ladybug and they wouldn't need to deal with Hawkmoth or his villains.

"To be honest I'm not really sure, m'lady. I would be doing somethings but I don't know. All I know is that we wouldn't have met each other and we wouldn't have to deal with Hawkmoth or his villains. It's an interesting what if scenario but what made you want to ask this?" Chat replied as Ladybug couldn't tell him that she had been discussing what if scenarios as a part of her lesson at school so she decided to come up with a little white lie.

"Oh I was just wondering and I was curious as to what your response would be. That's all," Ladybug said as she hoped that Chat wouldn't question any further but thankfully he didn't and she was grateful that he didn't. She couldn't ever imagine a world where she never met Chat because over the past two years of fighting together, they have become very close to one another and she has been thankful for Chat being her partner. A what if scenario like that would never come true as it was just a theory and Ladybug knew that she was destined to become a hero as well as fight alongside Chat Noir.
