{20. Best Friends}

"You're really cool and amazing so let's be best friends," A five year old Adrien said to a six year old Marinette as they both became friends after playing together during their childhood and they loved spending time together but when Adrien told her that he was moving away, she was devastated because she thought she'd never ever see him again. Despite being away from Marinette, Adrien did his best to contact her through video calls and texts over the years but eventually he stopped texting because he got busy with other things and he didn't have the time to talk to Marinette anymore.

Now at the age of seventeen, Marinette is at college as she was sat in class next to Alya but she paid little to no attention to whatever the teacher was saying since she was lost in her thoughts and she remembered her childhood best friend, Adrien. Each memory of her childhood made her smile but it also made her miss Adrien a lot and she wished that he would come to this same college someday, though she knew it wasn't going to happen because Adrien was in another country.

What made her snap out of her thoughts was when Adrien's name was mentioned by the teacher as she looked up and there he was, standing in front of the classroom. Marinette couldn't believe what was happening as she thought she was dreaming and she pinched herself to check if she was dreaming or not but when she could feel the pinch, she knew it was no dream. This was reality as Adrien noticed Marinette and he smiled at seeing her again since he had missed her so much but he also felt terrible for not being able to talk to her after so long.

Once class was over, Adrien called out to Marinette as she turned around when he did but she didn't know what to say to him since she wanted to say so much but she couldn't find the right worlds to start off the conversation and they stayed silent for a minute before Adrien began to talk in order to break the awkward silence between them.

"It's so good to see you again, Marinette and I'm so sorry for not keeping in contact with you for so long which I regret but my father told me to focus on my modelling. He also deleted my contact information of friends that I had so I couldn't contact you even though I tried so many times. I hope you can forgive me," Adrien said as Marientte wasn't mad at him for not contacting her for so long and she forgave him.

"I'm not mad at you for not contacting me for seven years so I forgive you and you don't have to worry about it. I've missed you and I'm really glad to see my best friend again," Marinette said to Adrien as they both hugged each other and they were glad to see each other again. Best friends always find a way to each other no matter what happens as Marinette and Adrien finally reunited together after seven years.
