Past- 2023 (5 years after leaving Skye)
The music pounded relentlessly as I took a sip of whiskey. I eyed her as she danced with another girl, their bodies pressed against each other, the lights casting dynamic shadows across their bodies as they giggled.
"Yo, Sam!" I heard my name called and I turned to see Rhys and Daniel approaching.
"Didn't think you were gonna make it out", Rhys said loudly over the music.
"Had a change of plans" I responded, nodding towards the girls dancing a few metres in front of us.
"Nice!" Rhys said, "Which one are you taking home?" he laughed.
"I'd be taking them both", smirked Daniel, interrupting me before I could respond.
"Where have you been anyway man, we haven't seen you all week?", continued Rhys.
"I had some things to take care of", I lied quickly, eyeing the minimal amount of whiskey left in my glass.
"You guys want another round?" I asked, holding up my glass, trying to avoid further questions from them. They nodded and I trudged off towards the bar.
"Three whiskeys, thanks", I said to the bartender.
"Did you like the show?", a voice suddenly said next to me.
I glanced to my left and there stood one of the girls from earlier. My eyes lingered down her body as she stood there. She wore a tight black dress which fitted her body so perfectly and high heels. Her blonde hair reached down past her waist and her face was heavily made up. She eyed me intently, smiling.
I smirked before taking a sip of my drink and responding "every minute".
"I'm Candice", she said. Her hand briefly found its way to my shoulder blade.
"Samuel..or just Sam", I responded.
"So what do you do for work, Sam?", she asked.
I sighed heavily, took another drink and responded "I work as a Management Consultant. And you?"
"I'm a hairdresser but I'm at University studying Accounting", she said.
"So where's your boyfriend?", I asked, wanting to get to the point.
She rolled her eyes and sighed but then her hand moved towards mine on the counter, "He's probably out with my ex best friend with his tongue down her throat".
I set my drink down and turned my body towards her, my tall frame towering over her shorter stature. My eyes travelled down her body again and then I met her gaze smiling. "You want to go? Right now?", I said, grabbing her waist, pulling her against me. She giggled and nodded. I grabbed her hand and led her out of the nightclub and headed towards my apartment.
